Lescott is such a bizarre buy incidentally - just not that strong positionally or in the air.

He reads the game better than Dunne (and that's saying something) - positioning is one of his strong points. And his history of scoring from set pieces implies he is strong in the air.

his history of losing crucial headers in european qualifying implies that he's not.
He scored most of those goals with his feet, at the back post, playing left back because he's not as good as Jagielka. He's not a Premier League winning CB, that's what bothers me, 24m for a guy who moves us a couple of steps forward at most.

Our front 5 are brilliant as well.

I'm sure he will be replaced but a world star in year or two when we are in Champion's League. We have to get there first though.
