Great tackle and impressive again tonight.

At their best they're a very tough proposition. My own feeling is that our midfield could do with a bit more snap and pace particularly with no Silva. Barry is slow, De Jong not swift and Yaya is obviously leggy. Result they're passing through us.
Easy to blame the tactics but I'm not sure that's the cause. I would bring on Johnson because it would occupy Clichy and then put Milner back on the left where he could cover Zabaleta. And then pray.

I agree with this. Pace (or lack thereof) is our biggest problem - especially in midfield. because of this, I think Arsenal and Tottenham are probably the teams in the league that are the most difficult for us to play against. When playing the other top teams, we can much more comfortably play our own game.

David Silva has been at the heart of everything good recently and is missing tonight. We have a half decent squad and we have like for like replacements for all players except Silva, during the window is there any creative midfield spark that could be back up for David Silva? To have a situation where Ali B was backup for Eyal in the Prem, so on any night we are not without a creative midfield player.
