It's the logical decision not to play Tevez if he isn't really fit and could make it worse. As for playing for a draw being dangerous we will I am sure play the same way as we would have with Tevez .Not for a draw exactly but with a plan to stop Chelsea and hope for a break. It's just that the break won't be as easy without the life Tevez gives us up front and the danger he is to someone like Terry.

Let's not forgat that last year we went into this the same way and were frankly awful in the first half until Tevez got that goal from nothing. We could have been out of the game entirely and then came the 2nd half where our pace killed them.We don't have that pace this time but let's just hope the defence does it's job.

Well Chelsea have Drogba and Anelka on the bench so its sort of evens things out !

at least drogba and anelka are on the bench our best attacking players is out for this game.

I wouldn't say that mancini is going for a draw ... but besides AJ, who else would add any pace to our lineup? AJ isn't even that fast, though he has a nice burst of pace. Just adding him wouldn't automatically make us fast.

Just curious ... anyone saying mancini going for a draw ... what team would you play that would be "more attacking" or would be thought of as going for the win?

agree with the dougster here dzeko isn't exactly a player that will create "something out of nothing".

We don't have the same pace, we do not have Tevez up top so this is where the manager should make us play a different style. Is this ability Mancini lacks? We'll see!

Still not convinced about Dzecko's agility in and around the box.
