Very impressed with Boyata....showed me skills I didn't think he had....all is forgiven from the red card against Arse.

Agreed.I thought Vinnie was the better of the two centre backs but who cares.

Not even bothered with the power cut I had and missing Yaya's goal

Fantastic game, wish we could always play like this.

What was going on with Balotelli and Yaya at the end? Balotelli had his arms around him and Yaya greabbed it and shrugged it off. Was Balotelli taking the piss because Yaya is always limping like an old Warhorse or something? :)

The break came at the best time to end our slump. You can see the huge difference that fresh legs makes. Maybe Mancini had a point to his sayings instead of just using an excuse

It looked like yay a was givining him shit for just standing there after being nutmegged by cattermole earlier in the game or for leaving el muhammady for the free header. At least it was that part of they were pointing to

But otherwise we look transformed and a great save stopped balo from making it 6

Ooooh you have to watch MoTD2 tonight - his anticipation and cool finish were pretty darned impressive.

Quality ball from Cattamole, showed that quickness he does in bursts and delightful chip over the keeper.

I thought Vinnie was excellent as the covering centrehalf, but in truth he has the easier job. Lescott didn't put a foot wrong and has to attack the players, easier to fuck up imo. If I had to pick it would have been Silva though, that lad just oozes class and just makes everything work ahead of him. de Jong as well I thought was phenomenal, the whole defence seems to be more comfortable with him providing the screen, certainly more than Barry.

yes it does ,it gets much much better ,than watching a pointless Rugby match a pointless GAA match and easy win over SunderIreland for City ,but thanks for sharing how easily excitable you are with the rest of us .

No doubt about Komps and Lescott as our best pairing. Komps could turn out to be an absolute world-beater...possibly the best I've seen at City, in that posotion, since Dave Watson. Praise indeed. Was Gyan on the pitch 2nd half? Seriously, Lescott just owned him.

Fox Soccer Channel here in the States gave MOM to Silva.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Great game to watch. The outlet Johnson provided on the right in the first half has been badly missed the last months.
I thought Boyata did very well, albeit not really tested that hard. Balo looked good to and managed to stay out of trouble for 90minutes. Good on him.

Delighted with result but more so with the performance. Happy that Mancini went for it today and it worked. All the lads played well and this will be a good boost for them ahead of the Liverpool match.
The return of AJ paid dividends immediately and gave us a different shape which we have missed for so long. Boyata played well and proved that he is now another solid defender that we can depend on when needed. Kolarov had his best match in a long time and I loved the way he hassled Cattermole which resulted in Yaya's brilliant goal.
All in all a good weekend of footbal except for the Rags result but you can't have it all !

Just got home from the game and just wanted to say a big thankyou to the players and staff for the performance today. It's been a while coming but everyone deserves credit for todays' display

Let's hope we're refreshed and finding our form at exactly the right time
