Great game today, and the fantastic thing is we have all week to get ready for the next game against the bin dippers. It might not be such a bad thing that we are out of the Europa Cup, this late in the league it could be perfect timing for us to really push for third and maybe just maybe a final too.

very poor sunderland side, but amazing what happens when you go for it.

We looked up for it from the first minute, diving into tackles and harrying them, which we haven't done for quite a while. Really set the tempo.

Hope normal service isn't resumed next week, as Arsenal appear to have imploded and 3rd should be the minimum target, to guarantee champs league

I swear to god if we played like this everyweek, win or lose, i would be a happy man!

Joleon winning the motm was obvious a pisstake to the fact gyan was annonymous
Vinny was superb as always
De Jong was amazing
I thought boyota was terrific, looked like he'd played there all his life
if kolorov could put those balls across for the vieria goal everyweek we'd score a lot more

yaya was a massive improvement too
silva's movement was terrific, the number of times he passed the ball across field or would start a move and be in the final move was outstanding.

and adam, how we've missed adam, he was showboating before he was taken off.

tevez and balo played well too

one sour note was how they had 27 fouls and two booked and vieira and kolorov were booked for their first fouls but if thats our biggest complain about howard its been a good day

Agreed.Kolarovs was stonewall booking and Vieira's was deliberate to stop them getting through and that's nearly always an automatic booking nowadays

Absolutely!

Definitely the way forward and absolutely no reason not to start with the exact same players, formation and tactics against Liverpool.

Delighted - well done to everyone involved. City looked like a team today and Balo impressed me and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet.

Hopefully the shackles are off for the rest of the season!

We should put up a new banner every week if this is what happens.

Got a lovely shot of the banner as the camera swung behind the Sunderland players at the start. Well done lads, looked fucking mint.

Just one thought. Isn't intentional handball an automatic red card?
