He also said manyoo were 'in total control' for the latter part of the first half. As we all know they never had any control of the game at any stage.

Great win & enjoyable to humiliate them again.

Bigger tests ahead though. Time to forget that shite we faced tonight and focus on those. I dont care one iota of a shite for their problems - I do care about my club and was proud of all 14 who wore the shirts tonight.

Sir Alex Ferguson was subjected to the sustained fury of Manchester United supporters as Manchester City’s victory sparked a mutinous reaction at the final whistle.

With stewards deployed to prevent fans removing the 'Chosen One’ banner at the Stretford End – unveiled following David Moyes’s appointment as Ferguson’s hand-picked successor last summer – former manager Ferguson bore the brunt of anger from fans close to the directors’ box in the earshot of executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and managing director Richard Arnold.

One supporter was also photographed being escorted away from the area close to Moyes’s seat in the dug-out by stewards after appearing to gesture for the Scot to resign.

Ferguson was berated with expletive-laden outbursts from supporters complaining at the state of the team left behind on his retirement as well as his decision to anoint Moyes as his replacement.

Moyes’s future is now likely to come under the microscope again, despite the ongoing position from the club that he will remain in charge to rebuild the squad this summer.

He was booked, so they won't revisit it.

You know, like they didn't with Thatcher, Barton, Wright-Phillips, Bellamy, Adebayor, Balotelli.

absolutely buzzing. just finished watching the match.

how fucking awesome was our back 5? and that includes Demichelis. Clichy was especially good.

some loose passing all around but who cares.

if Silva could shoot better he wouldve had a hat trick in the first 10 minutes.

That would have been a sending off, in 1968.

It is absolutely beyond comprehension that the ref has let him off. Imagine, if we had a bad bounce 2nd half & ended up with VK getting a 'last man' red or something & dropping points. Our win glosses over this. It's not fucking on at all.

Apart from a couple of utterly bizarre moments tonight, Demic was absolutley immense & an improvement on Lescott.

But if Wellbeck had scored, a million replays would not have been able to explain why he suddenly lurched out & left him unmarked.

This is the weird quandry we have with Demichelis.

Maybe i'm imagining this cos of the last game where Demichelis kinda proved himself, but was it just me or was there seemingly a lot more confidence about the defence tonight? Like i've always got the impression that Kompany doesn't trust Demichelis and instinctively tries to cover him at all costs, at detriment to team shape etc, but i dunno, it seems like the rest of the defence were a little less edgy tonight around him, which can only be a good thing.

I think Utd had some good situations due to us being so attacking, but were inept. That could be one of the reasons for the confidence.
