'While I was watching Manchester City against West Brom on Monday, I just got the feeling that they know they cannot win the league.

The noises coming out of the club might be that they are still in it and that every game counts but I think City know the game is up, and their defeat at Anfield was the end of their chances. '

Souness:

"At two nil, the game was drifting away from city"

Credit where its due.

Niall Quinn has built a career out of knocking Man City but pretty much told Sourness he was talking out of his arse. Good on you Niall you were spot on. Professional performance from a City team with key players still coming back to full fitness, away from home against a team on a good run. Never looked like conceding and could probably have stepped up a gear if needed. No need to take risks and no need to bust a gut to score more.

"City were very disappointing".

Fucking lol

Esky wrote:Sky post-match - how incredibly bitter Souness is.

2-0 win away from home against a team that have won 5 straight and he says it wasn't a 'champion's performance', City didn't 'show how good they were' and good teams 'don't rely on one player'.

Amazed at Souness. He has consistently been one pundit who has given us an ounce of credit, then today he came out with basically a load of horseshit. Even Quinn stepped in and saw it for what it was. Job done, three points, improved goal difference, no more injuries/suspensions and all of this away at a side who had won their last five conceding only once. A very impressive, polished performance.

Souness is just endemic of the dipper led media. They all thought it was won and done and dusted and the title would be coming home. Well, it is NOT won yet dippers and if we keep our shit together at Everton on Saturday it wont be.

Are some people upset Niall created an affiliation to Sunderland? Do some people feel like they have been cheated on. I like Niall. He was a top man for City and to suggest he is anti City is total crap. He has to work for Sky and be balanced. He knows we like him and he has affinity to us.

My daughter's birthday today. No surprise that City win and L'pool lose. Should have mentioned it earlier to save you all fretting.

We now have 93 goals, exactly the same as the title winning season. With 3 games to go.

I'm waiting for the line of "the great entertainers" after there is 150 goals in their games, despite 50 of them on their own net. Fulham, by this reasoning, are one if our more entertaining teams.

Still think we will end up top scorers

Yes souness made a complete tool of himself. FFS did he not, realise that palace have been doing reasonably well? Him, knobknapp, caragher, hansen, lawrenson etc etc they lot of them are a pain in the hole.
We will see how their beloved perform there next Monday.
