OK, I've gone ahead and created a draft league. Invitation code: 471691-112572.

We need at least 4 people for the draft to go ahead and the league to be activated. Max. number of teams is 8.

THE FIRST DRAFT IS AT AUG 10, 11:00AM CET (10:00AM UK time; 17:00 Perth; 19:00 Sydney).

I cans till change the draft time. Please let me know if that's necessary. It's a bit tricky finding a time, which is convenient for us Western Europeans as well as our antipodean friends.

So just to clarify, we are using the one City player rule this season?
I have no probs with it but I have to say I 100% understand where Dunnylad is coming from with his comment haha

I can't do Thursday, I just changed a work day from Friday to Thursday.
But TBH, I wouldn't bother changing it, I've just done a huge watchlist, so that ought to do it.
I'm assuming no rags allowed?
I wouldn't pick them on principle, but will get a bit peeved if others do.
I would think the best time to do drafts is 10am UK on a weekend, on the day City aren't playing.

You can end up with rags nevertheless. If all your watchlist options are taken, you will get players auto-assigned. But you can always waiver them if you have time.

looks like only 3 registered so far

Have we agreed no scum players allowed? Reason i ask is what might happen if someone doesnt turn up or falls asleep you would likely get a red by default

I just take it for granted that no one actively picks scum players, but won't be too harsh if they're auto-selected and you don't have time or opportunity to sub them.

I'll go with that so won't include any on my watch list.

Still looking for at least one more person to join

An hour to go and still only 3 managers for a league set up for a minimum of 4!!

Sorry Patrick and Doug. It seems like we're stuck on 3 ...

I can change the set-up, so that's allowed (minimum is 2), but I don't know if it's really any point doing it with only the three of us, since it will be too much like ordinary Fantasy football.

That was quite fun. It would have been much more challenging with 6-8 people. As it stands now, I'm fairly happy with the team I got to be honest.

was fun and yes with say 10 teams ( thats a league my son is in) it would have been hell

10 teams = 50 midfield players so god knows who you would end up with in the end!

One thing I wasn't watching was who you guys were picking. Kept missing that after seeing Kev go first off. Then started to realise when I wanted someone and they were not there. Will be interesting how it goes now especially as i picked two injured players. I presume it's possible to see the make up of the other teams?

Subs will be used as in the ordinary FPL. You can also use waivers to replace the injured players.

What I still haven't figured out is if there's one draft per match week or if this is it for the rest of the season.
I picked my players with only this game week in mind.

If there are more drafts, you can see which players are picked, by clicking the tab "Drafted" (next to "Watchlist").

I never gave this week a thought, hence picking two injured wallies. I must have a closer look at how to make transfers if and when needed. If no penalties I guess you could make loads of subs week after week as long as the players you want are available
