Bayern would had been the same, so, they would have been more open on the back.

Barca made Bayern look good. Having said that Bayern would have torn us to shreds tonight, any good team would have.
Were were a mess.

no they would not have torn us to schreds.

Pep blew it tonight and i think we have been told to blow it.

Where do you want to start ? team selection ? strange referre decisions? ( a dutchie didn't play advantage )

I think our owner is happy with his investment at the moment.

Ha Ha Ha love a Moses (Dev) thread/post,......

I thought we all hated the chumps league?

From what I read post match, I understood that Pep, Txiki, Serrano are all fucking off back to Barca now that Laporte (??) Needs his trusted trio back to rebuild the team arse raped last night......

FUCK UEFA, FUCK THE CHUMPS LEAGUE, THEY CAN SHOVE IT UP THEIR ARSE

Pep is and can be a stubborn nob and it's proving to be his downfall, it's almost like he's sticking his fingers up at the fans for boooing UEFA/chumps league.

My assesment of the this season is we've struggled this year BUT we are infinitely better than the team/club I fell in love with back the 70's FFS

I thought most City fans don't care about the Champions League?

Pep has won basically every domestic trophy since arriving..like 10 out of the available 12 or something.

So ?

Between Mancini and Pellegrini we also won every trophy - actually Pellegrini did better as we got to a Semi final of the CL.

I hope PeP fucks off TBH - hes not earned his 20 million a year salary IMO....the owner obviously want the CL and with PeP we cannot get past the fucking Quarter finals....against weak teams.

We need a change of scenery.

Well if you dont care about the CL then you should be pretty happy with having Pep and likely wouldn't want him sacked as he's delivered everything else.

Plus, knowing that most of the players in the squad are here for Pep and any future signings will be for Pep you should also want him to stay.

Did not see the game as travelling!!! So did not see how have managed to fuck up. Sack pep No not for me, however with 1 year left I do wonder what the club are doing? The players we need or he wants is tricky. God forbid we see the vermin start like last year and we do the same, it will be painful for all of us. Last season syndrome. Maybe Barca and Peps style is done.

We lost last night and it was all Peps fault hazy

The problems consisted of but are not limited to:
A bizarre 5 at the back to mimic Lyons setup, for reasons unknown

5 defenders were also joined by rodri and gundog, who even the most fair weather fan knows sap pace from the team when they play together and they bogged us down in the midfield giving Lyon plenty of time to mark the attackers, all 3 of them, out the game

Peps tactical choice meant we only had 3 attack minded players on the pitch in Jesus, sterling and kdb - 2 of which were having one of their regular off nights

Despite having basically 7 defenders on the pitch, Ederson was deployed as a sweeper keeper as usual, even though Pep was TOLD by Southampton people are starting to target ederson due to his positions

Sterling missed a sitter, can’t be blamed on Pep but that was it

Spot on.
I just can't understand how he managed 4 times in a row, 4 different years, to have the same major fuckup. It blows my mind on how this is even possible. Lyon played like 90s of teams that pay against us: park the bus and counter. But you had zero creativity last night. A game that was shouting for Foden or Bernardo.
I really hope next season of this competition we get out in the group stage and spare our nerves for another fuck up.

We had ZERO invention in midfield tonight...none..Foden , Silva (any of them ) should have played today as Lyon are woeful and they will get absolutely fucked by BM..make no mistake about that.

I'm not one of the suicidal PeP fanatics, like some on here , so I wouldn't give 2 shits if he left - there are more than enough talented managers out there to carry our club forward and bring in new ideas.

BTW we lost 9 matches last year and came 18 points behind the dippers...got embarrassed by Arsenal ...but we did win the fuckign milky bar cup again........is that good enough for a 20 million pound a year manager ?

No.

Not good enough, fucked up last night.

But your opening statement is nonsense. He's won more knockout games in this comp than any manager in the history of the comp. Only 3 managers in the history of the competition has won more titles than him.

Definitely doesn’t need sacking, but he needs to be honest with us and if he isn’t going to stay beyond next season no point in forcing him to be here next season either. He just needs to be honest with us.

Why cant he learn from his mistakes, its mind boggling.
This season was a terrible season for him. Easily his worst in management.

Yes and hes tied with the other 17 managers who have won it twice !

The last time he won it was in 2008/9 (Nearly 12 years ago ) and since then his teams have had ''humbling exits'' and some embarrassing ones.

Barcelona lost to Chelsea 3-2 SF (2011/12)

Bayern got battered by RM 5-0 on aggregate SF (2013/14)

Bayern got done once again to Barcelona 5-3 on aggregate SF (2014/15)

Bayern lost to Atletico 2-2 on aggregate SF (2015/16)

Man City lost to Lyon 6-6 on aggregate Round 16 (2016/17)

Man City got embarrassed by the dippers 5-1 quarter finals ( 2017/18)\

Man City lost to Shitty spurs 1-0 quarter finals (2018/19)

Man City lost to Lyon 3-1 quarter finals (2019/20)

It is 100% shocking, given the 3 teams hes managed.

You don't sack good people Mase , you come to an arrangement and I would 100% be considering it if I was the gaffer.

The owners obviously want CL and seeing as baldie has spent 1.3 Billion euros, with over half a billion just on defenders, you would expect him to get us to a fuckign CL final !!!!....he cannot even get us to a semi final for fucks sake !!....I guess the owners are not wanking themselves losing , once again , to a mediocre team.

I'm just sick of getting embarrassed by ''inferior'' sides - the fuckign scum across the road have beaten us , what was it , 3 times last season ? and I have lost count of the times we have lost and been embarrassed by so called shitty sides ........... and there have been plenty.

Last night was just another disgusting performance.........its fuckign tedious.

He doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes. Losing to that rags team three times this season is inexcusable - once that’s okay, we learn from it and move on. But THREE TIMES is ridiculous.

Hopefully if he does stay he’ll have a long think about how he learns from defeats. He needs to be humble about it and not continue trying to force his tactics against teams that have sussed us out. I thought we’d turned a corner smashing Liverpool, but obviously not.

Best scenario is he signs for another 3+ years and grows up.
