"Of course, I am not able with these guys to break the quarter-finals. Three years in a row we are out. Life is how you stand up again and next season we will try again," he added.
It is open to interpretation, but for me he is saying he cannot take these players further.
Posted a bit of this quote earlier from City's site. It's either as you say HDS aimed at a mis-judged kick up their arses for not carrying out his mystifying gameplan or more likely
a shout out to the top that he needs more money to spunk. If it's the latter, I hope he gets the curly finger and invited on a video call with the Sheik to explain himself
I think it is curly finger time for me, or at least a fucking bollocking of severe proportion, or as they say these days a “job performance review situation “
Yesterday during the day and for a couple of days beforehand - Nothing in the press about our game. Things don't work out for City suddenly there are dozens of articles - all absolute boooolllloox. Scouse and rag fans jump on this click bait .
all three Lyon goals were defensive disasters . They created nothing - we presented everything to them
No doubt but did the fuck-ups come as a result of the midfield being all over the place and in the main, too slow exposing what we all know is a makeshift defence? Play our usual 433 and we may have been able to take even 3 goals on the chin
Whichever way you look at it, that's on the manager, again in a af of the chumps league. I look at his comments as him absolving himself of blame and frankly, he has dropped in my estimations.
If he is planning to go in 12 months, I would be inclined to bring that forward now unless he commits to at least another 2 after next season
