Didn’t see that one coming - I’d have to question the point? I don’t think he qualifies as home grown?

I think Pep has fancied him every summer, but we couldn’t get a work permit. He’s got one for two more years now I think, and he’s also played a full international match for Brazil apparently.

Pep must rate him. Apart from a class goal at the start of the season I didn’t see much from him that impressed me.

Maybe he is a late bloomer, a bit like fern.

I almost had a heart attack as I've read David Luiz instead of Douglas Luiz.
Fuck me where are my glasses.

This for me too are we just trying to fill a gap in the squad as Silva has gone? We have KDB, Bernie & Foden in there and don't need to hamper Foden's progress by sticking someone else in the mix. Pep is going to keep (& play) gundo for ball retention and Rodrii will play more after his debut season so it's a non-starter for me

I think he might come to replace Fern actually.

Good move he is good enough IMO sadly Ferna is done at the top level. Great player a yard or2 short and beyond me how Pep thought his reading of the game and passing would not be countered by no legs or recovery against athletes !!!!!

Back up for Rodri would work if that is the idea but we need to have that DM role nailed down with our set-up. I'm half expecting Ale to have a run-out there under Pep

Pep has an Achilles it’s square pegs round holes. If we do not make RB Leipzig an offer they cannot refuse for the centre half he should be sacked. No amount of tinkering will cut it v the Scousers or the rag front 3 for that matter. Defeat to the scousers at Anfield occur in a way we know is coming. Let’s get Laporte a partner who can cope. A defensive MF that can run and recover v the top teams when it is coming on top, we fold and choke.

With you on this however I reckon Pep is all in for the Koub. I'm holding out hope that we make a bid for the Leipzig kid should PSG beat them but it is hope more than anything

City need reinforcements that address our problems.

High tempo Or athletic teams from any part of Europe the premier will cause us issues. Mainly due to street smarts. They know us as well as we do. Pep has to adapt his principles and get in tools fit for the job. Jets be honest we dodged a Bullet in The German rags. So did Pep no tinkering can hide your major faults and weakness gets exposed just as it has all season. Southampton did the homework, so did Lyon, no major changes we are in trouble the warning signs have been there since the Leicester game that Vinny rescued! We got battered and sneaked home I think that convinced Vinny time to bow out IMO

koulibaly feels like a rag signing and is out of character for us. very underwhelming if it happens.

A bit harsh. We need to fix our defence now.

No chance, prefer this;

https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercit ... interested

If there any truth in this, does that mean Gundo will be sold?
