Reported back overweight after the summer break for the second time in a row, looks a shadow of the player who was at Chelsea, in all honestly we are better off with Mahrez

I've always thought the little fucker had gerbil cheeks. Incidentally if we sell him for less than be bought him for, we are clowns.

He’s been okay against teams lower in the table and an all round decent squad player that can play in a few positions. But if we want to move forward and not just stay still we need to be bringing in better players, and unfortunately he’s one that would probably need to make way.

I’d wish him all the best and hopefully these last few seasons at City will mean he goes to a decent club. I could see him doing well in Italy.

For what we’d get for him (is he in his last year?) is it worth selling to get a replacement backup?

I think you need to brace yourself mate, heavily linked to Porto yesterday, it will be a nominal fee if anything at all, Porto are in the shit financially.

Yeah, I read that, but I think Laurentis is the problem, as always. You can't do deals with those fuckers.

Everton did a deal with them just fine. Chelsea did the Jorginho deal just fine.

This is what we're up against with this dickhead

From 2011 in relation to City:

"Does [UEFA president] Michel Platini want to make this financial fair play rule or not?" De Laurentiis said.

"Is it going to be respected? In any case, I have fun challenging money wasters."

Yet they are trying to milk once again.
And this is not the first italian club to do so.

Why should they not milk it once again? I'm genuinely confused by this sentiment.

In this case, Koulibaly is their asset and he's under contract. Napoli is under no obligation to sell. why should they make it easy for us to buy him? why should they drop their asking price? ADL has a price he wants and he's not going to sell for less than that. he shouldn't have to. sure, he could negotiate but he doesn't have to.

it's the same with Dortmund. Woodward and United fans seem shocked that Zorc and the Dortmund team aren't negotiating. they clearly stated their price and put a deadline on it. United failed to meet it and are now surprised by Dortmund's tactics.

Since when do fans expect other clubs to "play nice" with the club they support? City could then be accused of "milking" Garcia's fee. Theyre asking for an exorbitant amount for an unproven youngster with one year left on his deal. Should Barca fans be angry with City?

Since we got rich, many owners tried to milk us because they knew (or read in the media) we had bottomless pockets.
Fast forward, and in the past 5 years, we started to pay only the right money, hence we lost some players: Pogba, Fred, Sanchez, Jorginho, Maguire, etc, but still, clubs try to take advantage of us.

At this point, when a fee is as much as it is, I find it funny teams try to milk even +2 mil over the price, but that is how it is. It's like a chess game, they know we have the money, but they don't know how much we are willing to pay.

As for italians, I've learned my lesson in the summer of 2012 after we dragged all transfer window with de Rossi and when Roma finally accepted the fee, he refused so we had to panic-buy Rodwell.
Also, the fact we accepted what? 20-25 mil for Dzeko when he was a player of at least 40-45 it said a lot of how poor we played our cards with them.

I find it pointless when transfer sagas go for more than one month.

I know there is plenty of time until the 5th of October but apart from koulibaly we seem to be linked with very few players.
Looks like no new left back, no new striker and no new midfielder.
