Dunno, might be worth it to keep things amenable between the clubs should we want to sign a certain striker next summer

He’s 16 so not sure how it works. Will the two clubs even speak because of the age?

More importantly, we’re losing kids constantly now. We’re training them in the best facilities going and then they’re leaving. We might need to adapt and start getting them training with the first team sooner if they appear to have something. I’m not sure what the answer is.

The problem is we cannot keep everyone of them, just not viable, it appears the Germans are willing to give the kids ago, i'm sure we get first refusal if they flourish, or a cut of sell on fee. Got to be better than just releasing them and them going where they want. Also 16, very very few are ready at that age?

We've currently got 19 players out on loan too.....

I've just watched that made in Belgium documentary on City+, quite interesting watch about how started and progressed into the man we know today.

I see we’re now telling Barcelona to pay what we’re asking for Garcia or fuck off - good.

Wish we would crack on with it, or maybe I am being impatient.

so far we have Torres who lets say is Sane's replacement. We have Ake who is a back up to Laporte.
Silva is gone no replacement for him. Ferns legs are going / gone, no replacement for him. We still have a problem at LB. We still have no replacement for Kompany.
So far, we have done fuck all to address the major problems in the squad from last season. That's not even considering that many believe we need another striker.

Pretty poor window so far. If we go into the season with the squad as it is, it could get messy.

Pep would have signed for 3 if Messi was here. I think we have stalled, Pep gets 1 more season with the same group as he is that delusional or stubborn he can do it his way. I think it has a 50/50 chance9f going Pete Tong if we get nobody in. We are in for a rollercoaster season and Pep gone in a blaze of Glory or sinner if we are of the pace early.

I am of the same opinion. I just dont see how we win the league with the current squad esp the form the dippers are in. Preseason or lack of is a mess too, pep hasnt been round and is off in less than 9 months. Way too much uncertainty for my liking we are usually much more organised than this.

I am afraid that is the key right there.
If he is off next summer, I understand why the board doesn't want to buy him 5-6 players. Get him 1-2 and that is about it.

I wouldn’t be letting him spend hundreds of millions if he was getting off next summer.

But who knows?

We had warning signs last season how many defeats to the scum or bottom 6 teams. Teams with legs energy
Like Leeds will be all over us like a rash. Based on last season we are nowhere near. like Barca we need fresh legs and better defenders. The Lyon game summed us up.

The club should be trying to sign the best players irrespective of who the manager will be next year or the year after.
That's not an excuse.

I don't think that works that way, as managers are sometimes ... cunts.
Most of them try to bring their players or players that fit their profile.

I think the club acts only when there are opportunities, hence Messi.

We're the jewel in the Crown of the sheikh's football empire which stands at what, 10 or 11 clubs now with more being scouted. Can't see him calling it a day with us while still acquiring smaller, lower-profile clubs with less global appeal. Wouldn't make any sense, imo.

Angelino has replied to someone online that was taking the piss out of his performances last season. He’s said he struggled to perform well because he was playing one game a month.

The jewel needs a good polishing mate. The squad will not compete for the CL no chance.

The fear is that the squad as it is now wont be able to compete for the PL!

I think our squad is perfectly good enough to to win the CL and PL. Let’s not forget that we only conceded two more goals than Liverpool and scored 17 more than them last season, and yet their defence is hailed as being water tight and ours dreadful.....two goals mind you.
What cost us is mistakes, arrogance and lack of effort in certain games. Out two signings will certainly improve us and if we are on the ball we will beat anybody, so it’s down to the team spirit and Pep not over complicating things which will determine our season not our signings.
And in reality Liverpool are one major injury away from disaster.

I suppose he’s getting on a bit. Hopefully of Otter goes we’re letting him go because we have someone else lined up!
