Otter has to go to buy Dias/Kounde/KK and so has Zinchenko if we want to sign somebody else. Garcia like Foden is a club trained U21 so doesn't count towards the 25 man limit but they could still include Angelino and Roberts in the 4 vacant club trained senior slots if they are don't get loaned again or sold.

I dont think that makes sense. Isnt it 17 foreign players and the rest home grown? We want a squad of 22 so we only need 5 homegrown players in order to fill the squad. Sterling, foden, walker, Ake(i think), stones/garcia depending who we keep.

We can assume otter is off and our squad will look like the following

Ederson(Steffen)
Walker(Cancelo), Stones/Garcia(new centre half), laporte(ake), Mendy(zinhenko)

Fernandinho/Rodri/gundogan/kdb/foden/free spot

Mahrez(bernardo) jesus(aguero) Sterling(ferran)

So we have one free spot for a midfielder come striker. And one free spot for new centre back.

Assume garcia and otter will be gone and then after them
It will be one in one out likely at left back.

We are backed up by the youth team who dont count so doyle harwood bellis delap etc dont need to fill any criteria for squad places.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like it is a done deal:

An emotional Ruben Dias all but confirms his transfer to Manchester City:
“It was a very important game for me, I believe that everyone already knows why. The people and the club gave me captaincy, it was very special for me"
Ruben Dias hugged several members of staff at full time, including an embrace with sporting director Rui Costa.

So, after Koulibaly and Kounde, looks like we are going to sign him.
I am glad we showed we are prepared to walk out of a deal if they try to act like cunts, however, there are moments when we need to pay, as the market is as it is (look at Burnley and how much they want for Tarkowski).

Finger crossed this will end up good for us and he will be a solid guy.

Supposed to be flying in tomorrow to finalise, somebody already updated his Wikipedia page as being our player!!

I understand his nickname is "the general"

Transfermarkt has his market value as €31.5M though we are supposed to be being almost double that!!

Just watched a few vids on YouTube of him. I guess there’s a reason he was our 4th choice. It will piss me off when Liverpool or the rags sign Koulibaly.

Watched a few as I know fuck-all about him, He looks like a rock, solid. Threw a fucker at some point, liked that a lot.

I think we were trying to buy someone fast on the back, that is why he wasn't our top 2 choices, Koulibaly and Kounde look really fast.
I am not the optimist type, but I have a feeling it will be good for us.

Worse than last year it can't be.
Ah, also, looks a leader.

Rubén Dias to Manchester City, here we go confirmed! After tonight match, Benfica also completed the agreement on personal terms with Nicolás Otamendi who’ll be part of the deal [contract until 2023].
Dias will be in Manchester on next hours to have medicals.

More details: Rubén Dias will sign until June 2025, Otamendi will join Benfica until June 2023. Rubén value will be around €55m, Otamendi value will be €15m.
Benfica have accepted the same bid that Sevilla turned down for Koundé [€55m including Otamendi].

^^^^^^^^

if it isn't in the Beebs Gossip column, it can't be true.

Mind you some games go on for 100 minutes and teams score goals after the final whistle and the other team has left the pitch.

I dont know anything about him. I see some are moaning a bit. We will see.
If were spending those shillings I am assuming he is decent, then that means 4 proper CBs. Which is much better than last season.

We did spend the same amount of money on the Mang. I don’t trust these guys when it comes to defenders at all!
