Makes you wonder doesn't it, you wouldn't want anyone from here in charge of our transfers!

If I was in charge of recruitment for the richest club in the world I wouldn’t let it get in the state it is now with no centre forwards!

I think the problem is now they have too many people that look after the recruitment. Gone are the days a manager picked a player he liked and the chairman negotiated. We’ve now got the Chairman, CFO, CEO, Director of Football, the Manager all talking about transfers. Who actually owns it? Who picks the players? Some can’t be the managers choice so who picks those? Some are obviously the managers choice but does he get final say? It’s all a mess.

There is a matter of FFP, can't buy what you fancy, we did for a short stint but been curtailed. Having to buy smart is always a gamble. I'm not defending their transfers blindly, questions must be asked but they did deliver 3 titles along with domestic cups. I agree it has been shambolic of late but we don't know what restrictions they're having to operate under. I do believe now again we need veer from the current structure and smash it, we need a superstar to give us an edge that we seem to lack. Think Haaland fits the bill.

Haaland does fit the Bill, however our boys won’t deal with his agent :\

Football agent Mino Raiola has launched another attack on Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, calling the Spaniard a "coward" and a "dog" and revealing he nearly attacked him at one point, per Neil Moxley of the Sunday Mirror.

Raiola has been vocal about his ill feelings toward the tactician since 2015, when he told La Gazzetta dello Sport (via AS) he was a "nasty piece of work" following controversy with his client Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Pep Guardiola, the coach, is fantastic. As a person he's an absolute zero. He's a coward, a dog. He’s a classic priest. 'Do as I tell you – don't do what I do...' If Manchester City win the Champions League this season it will emphasise what a good coach he is – but I'll hate it."

Yep, I remember it and it was after these comments we dealt with him to sign Sandler.

We agreed the deal for Sandler in Jan 2018 and Raiola made the bulk of the comments in March 2018.

In your opinion do you think we’ll work with Raiola again?

The beef with him an Pep goes back to when Ibrahimovic left Barca, we've dealt with him again since, I'd imagine there's a reluctance but Sandler's transfer shows it's not out of the question.

Besides I think this is Pep's last season at City.

Like I said sometimes you got to make exceptions, there aren't many alternatives to Haaland, his agent is all about money, for the right amount he'll suck off Pep

I am not part of th crowd that thinks Rodri has been a bust but its quite ironic that we bought Douglas Luiz and Yangel Herrera and both are arguably better than Rodri and cost WAY less...combined too.

Agreed. There were rumours, that came from Luiz’s brother, over the summer that we were about to exercise some buy back clause. Shame we didn't, he’s miles more mobile than Rodri which is what we need with someone in that position.

Anyone know if he'd have got a work permit with us? Or is it the case that now he has one, he could move anywhere in England?

I’m sure he’s had a call up to the Brazil squad so wouldn’t be an issue now? BiB or FIBD are probably your men for something like this, I’m just guessing.

From we love Man City on FB.....

#ManCity are set to sign Filip Stevanović (18) from Partizan Belgrade on a four and half year contract after undergoing a medical this morning - the left winger will stay at Partizan on loan until the summer.

Now now PP, let's not be too sceptical, my initial thought is a replacement for Sane?

I'm sure Mase will welcome a Serbian to the fold
