Marseille are very poor.
A 2018 mancity would be 3-0 up.

Right. Well, Aguero and Jesus are out. Let's be real we don't have one right now.

That was years ago and clubs know how to defend us better as well, and we don't have all the same personnel.

Do you think clubs know how to defend better against us or we are playing completely different tactics than 2018?

Commentator saying we lost at home to Lyon in CL last season

It was a one off game in Portugal which he probably commented on FFS

This is the worst team we have ever played in the CL...absolute shite they are.

Two years ago we'd be 3-0 up with a cigar out

Okay debbie downers. Sheesh

We've had plenty of games where we had a million chances and haven't scored.

I dunno is there a "finishing" thread on here or something? Maybe I am making things up then?

We've barely had a shot in anger. I dont care if we haven't a forward playing if we arent creating the chances.

Regardless of the first XI put out, if we want to win things we need to play much better creative football than we are doing.

For me, this is dull

I think both. We played with wide attacking players, but we also had Sane who couldn't play on the right. He also had the issue of Mendy before injured was marauding down the left so Sane was in trouble if Mendy hadn't gotten injured.

Pep had to play him on the left. otherwise he'd be switching players all over the place like he always does.

Also, we had a much more solid, consistent defence, and Aguero and Silva in their prime years.

Managers have figured out two ways to beat us since our defence went to crap. Defend deep and counter attack with pace.

Our pressing is also not as good and we also have key players who have been below par. Bernardo is a massive loss, and almost like we sold him.

KDB and Sterling are playing a ridiculous amount of games and Sterling is able to bear it more, but his quality of performance drops with so many games whist KDB just gets injured or has to rest.

There's a lot of factors, also including COVID and this strange year that is impacting all leagues. The results this year are bonkers and make no sense so hard to judge things too harshly if you ask me. No one is standing out.

Even Bayern, who the Euro elite journalists worship now are with flaws and lost badly.

I think our defence is much improved, with Dias and Ake, and we will be better over the season as a result.

Foden is emmerging as a key player who has what we need in attack and Torres shows a lot of signs of being a great signing who can help alleviate the loss of Sane.

I think we will need another creative midfielder next summer (Aouar?...yet he also wants Spain, of course) to help KDB.

Let's see how things go. Right now today is much improved and is good for confidence as long as we don't muff it up (fingers crossed).

Dias looking good again, but I think Foden should take his chance there. You're on fire mate!

Was a really good last ditch tackle that deflected the ball over

You really wonder how much the crowd affects fitness and ability to push through tiredness.

Our press is not so great and our possession game has diminished.
