Well he did. Why he didn't book Salad for diving we'll never know. Never a foul and never a penalty.

But for me, more importantly, why did the VAR not overturn this? I said at the time it was being introduced it wouldn't change a thing in the respect of the SKY favourites, dippers and rags, still being given contegious decisions. And that's exactly how its planned out.

And on MotD they brought up the penalty and the narrative on this was that if the player doesnt go down a penalty never gets awarded. Which is true, but this was never a penalty, it was a blatant dive and should have been called out as such.

Until there is transparency in the VAR room with the dialogue being broadcast like in other sports that use it, then this will continue
