Borussia Dortmund's Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 20, has been backed to join Liverpool instead of Manchester United by RB Salzburg's sporting director Christoph Freund. Haaland joined Dortmund from Salzburg earlier this year.
Surely that can't be right? The murderers don't buy players, they're all homegrown and come from Toxteth

To be honest I can't even remember if he had one. I know a lot did in that era, even Tommy Booth if I recall. That was around the time I started following City (77) and one of my earliest memories was beating the murderers 3-1. Might have been the season we were runners up? What a great team it was too - Doyle, Watson, Power, Kidd, Owen, Hartford, Barnes, Donachie........then Big Mal came back unfortunately. Anyone remember the feature on Nationwide on City from around that era? Saturday Heroes it was called I think - I still have the booklet from it somewhere.

I hear you and am aware...but....
Messi £500k/week)contract off the books
Suarez contract off the books
Will sell/loan Dembele (even if at a cut cost will still leave them with more money)
That's A LOT of money that you can then have to spend on Haaland.
For those (Mase?) asking about how he could get offered £400-600k/week wages?
De Jong earns €400k Euros a week and that was 2 seasons ago.
Yes, there's COVID but this is the most sought after young striker in the world right now.
PrezIke wrote:Bottom line if I were told I had to pick where Haaland goes next I would not bet any significant amount of money on us signing him.
I will bookmark this.
