@Carl
The facts were disputing your claim that he loses the ball more than ever, that's all.

If you really want answers to your other questions then a lot of them are contained in here.

Leaving stats out of it, I saw a player driving at Liverpool's defence in the second half looking to make things happen and they did, the opening goal came from it. He played very well, ok first half ( in which he won a pen from again driving at their defenders), excellent second half.

We scored four goals and missed a penalty.

Sterling won the penalty, made the first and scored the third. Heavily involved in three out of five, at Anfield where we had not won in centuries.
He did not cause us to lose any goals, the opposite I think because he worked hard, like he always does.

Top class performance in my book. Well done Sterling.

He should run at defences more, it's when he's most threatening.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

I am harsh but I expect a player who is in the top level of the wage scale to influence a game more over the 90 minutes and not go hiding , albeit unintentionally, for half the game .

Some fans on here don’t see it that way - fine , but I say it how I see it .

Sterling for me had one of his most complete games He is nowhere near the technical level of Foden or Gundo., but he is a fantastic asset and rated by the best manager in the planet. Team player with amazing numbers, for the length of service we could get for me is a bargain.
