It just shows the state that football is in at the moment. The decision making process should jus involve what is best for the players and fans. Alas, it’s the sponsors and all the other myriad of financial interests that are going to be at the forefront of the final decision.
It should be London or Cardiff, it’s an absolute no brainier for everyone’s safety and convenience. But it won’t be and it’s an utter disgrace. I don’t think they should even name the final venue until the finalists are known, and if you can’t organise a football game safely, at any stadium in the world within a month then I despair.

I think it's all to do with the legions of world media, VIPs and hangers on who 'need' to pop in and out without quarantine. Portugal seems to fit the bill (to UEFA)

I agree. Your last sentence is absolutely spot on. But money does talk and if sponsors are going to be putting huge sums in the pot, then they will want a big say in the decisions of where the final will be held etc. He who pays the piper calls the tune. But equally, I cant imagine the sponsors apart from Gazprom would be bothered either way if it was in Turkey or Portugal or England.

Wherever it is the referee will be the idiot who took charge in the qtr final second leg v the dippers where he ruled out a Jesyd goal incorrectly and sent Pep off

How the hell can the club accept Lahoz as the ref after the shite he dished out to us previously???
He's an egomaniac who has an issue with Pep and always has.
The sending off was just to show Pep he had the power, despite his obvious mistakes - the bloke is a c*nt.
Remember the aggregate was 5-1 but the officials were responsible for 4 of that difference.

I think this is really bad news, and a blow to our changes.
But realistically what can the club say or do about this.
He hates Pep and its so obvious. Very annoying and worrying he has been appointed. No telling what he will do.

Ermmm unlikely, but UEFA are aware of fan power and I'm sure certain press outlets would love a story for clickbait big enough to bring it to their attention.

The paranoia in me is saying that Lahoz is in charge because of Tebas and his new job at UEFA, both close to Real, rather than Barcelona.

TBF, our record with him as referee isn't that bad, barring the dippers game

Any news on how and when the tickets will be released? Regardless of whether I can get one, I hope the club charter flights for those that can go.

Lahoz is a total cnut. A complete bollix.
We should not allow him to ref any of our games after his performance against the Dippers.

Against the Dippers, Sane goal ruled out for offside even though it came back of Milner the Dipper.
Blatant hand balls and pushes in the box by the Dippers were ignored. And he loved it, smirking and sending Pep off.

We are of our fcuking heads if we do not do everything in our power to get this bollix removed from the CL final.

It was up there as the worst refereeing performance against us and we’ve been on the end of a few over the years. Remember we didn’t even get any injury time in the first half despite numerous stoppages. Infuriating doesn’t even come close to how I felt that day and when he sent Pep off it was the final nail in our coffin. Doesn’t bode well.

Remember we had Lahoz vs Monaco at home also, we won, but he was all over us.
Kevin had a shout with him in that famous “Let me talk” vs Shakhtar.
