Do not blame the players. Blame Pep.
The team selection is wrong. He changed a winning system where players knew what they were doing. Cannot believe he has made no changes at half time. And Gundo is a model for a red card.

If Fern comes on it will be Pep admitting he got it wrong and I don't think his ego will allow it

Stones was miles out of position .

Stones isn’t even in the picture. The goal came from their goalie playing it to their left back. Not even the excuse of a counter and being caught out of position.
Zinchenko could and should have followed his man but he was probably wondering how the fuck the middle was so wide open

Zinchenko covering two players , just look where stones was when Haverz receives the pass ffs , Stones is in Chelsea’s half ffs .

Exactly

That’s as maybe. But he has played out of his skin in numerous positions in the last few years with us. He is an experienced international player and quite simply he has shown nothing tonight. No ball retention which he is normally excellent at, very little attacking threat and not covering as he normally does.

Every time Kante makes a challenge you think “imagine we had someone like that on the pitch”.

Then you realise we have someone even better on the bench.

Kdb is much more effective when he is in the pocket behind Mahrez.

Gundogan more effective further forward running ahead of the ball.

Foden more effective coming in of the left between the full back and the centre back.

Strerling most effective when sat at home.

All in different positions tonight
