Lots of different issues for a lot of fans pal . This is why the club are refusing to speak to fans on a one to one or making it very difficult. Yes it is a difficult situation but customer service should always be a priority and at the start of the renewal process it was a shambles and poorly thought out by the club . It has got better the last week and the club has listened to fans who have experienced difficulties. Not going to put individual situations on here ( they can be found elsewhere) , biggest situation seemed to be people acting on behalf of others who couldn’t access the right information, a simple phone call could have solved a lot of stress and anxiety but the club weren’t prepared to do this which is appalling in the circumstances. Also the fact the club cannot guarantee any individual their own seat even if you get through a ballot . There will be no food or alcohol on sale within the Etihad just water ! So everyone will be taking there own food and drink in bags and we all know what chaos that causes when queuing up to get in the ground . The formula of the ballot process is also a major issue as there is not a chance of a full stadia this year half capacity at best ! Lastly our older sc holders have been the worst affected with all the confusion I think the deferral is the best option for many when hopefully the 22/23 season will be back to normal , thing is with this deferral are you guaranteed your seats back ??? Nobody really knows again it would be nice to have a one to one chat with a member of staff not just a shitty vague email or something on a website.
Me personally I renewed in just 2 minutes and paid in full , 3 hours later I received an email saying I don’t need to do anything as SC will renew automatically and the DD will remain the same err wtf ??? Couldn’t get through to supporters services after almost 6 hours of trying over 3 days . Cancelled my original DD with my bank and now hoping my original full payment purchase confirmation email is valid , money has gone out so it better had be even though I am left slightly unsure and not guaranteed a ticket or my seat , well I’ve been told it’s gonna now be a rail seat but people are saying that work hasn’t started yet ? again no answers from the club .
All woefully piss poor service but loads of other SC holders have worse issues heyho !
If you defer your seat it will be sold on a match by match basis until you return - similar to the sell back scheme they had in place no doubt.
It clearly says that they cannot guarantee exact seats for future seasons as there is potential stadium expansion and layout changes (that will be a blanket term they have to use, but majority of people will be fine with nothing to worry about.
Most of the things you've got your knickers in a twist about are out of the clubs hands to do with refreshments and numbers in the ground which is all down to the government related restrictions - the club handled refunds at the start of the pandemic really well, no point stressing about stuff like that, they won't leave people out of pocket.
You call me a boring cunt but the only boring thing is listening to your constant whinging about nothing. And for reference, my seat autorenewed and then I just rang the club yesterday and asked to swap it over for a value season card - had about a 20 minute wait on the the phone.
Most of the emails you get are auto generated - they always say at the bottom if you have made changes in the last 24 hours ignore this email - its not a shift or wrong email - you just need to read things properly and stop going straight to whinge mode
