As far as I can see loads of third placed teams are qualifying? Eh? Why have all those qualifying games, it's pointless.

It’s painful to watch, I still struggle to fathom why or how the fool is manager of any national team, let alone one with so much potential.

Ferran scores with his first touch.

He is playing central, right?
The fella is no winger.

How that was a penalty only he will know. Feels like he’s trying to make the game entertaining as, at the moment, none of them need to win.

Did the media start already with "Southgate redemption" titles? Or it is too early?

That German team are in steep decline and a shadow of what they were. But they will be organized, difficult to beat, are capable of once of excellent performances, will understand what is required of them and will adapt as the game progresses.
England are managed by a donkey, will play with two holding midfielders, be under orders that will limit playing to their strengths and will be incapable of adapting as the game unfolds (due to the donkey).

It all points to a German win.

If you switched the management teams, who would you fancy to win? England would be odds on favorites.
From an English perspective this is a scandal and it is the players I fell sympathy for.
