From both sides.
I've thought about this, too - I've wondered if he's officially contractless, but getting money from a third party, to circumvent UEFA/La Liga finance rules, until Barca alleviate some of their financial chaos... I don't think there'd be anything to stop that happening, so long as he's paying tax on the income.
What’s the new president’s business?
Could he become an ambassador or some such made up role to give Messi his income whilst accepting a lower income from Barca to help balance the books?
I'm sure there are rules in place to prevent that happening. I remember I looked for it before, but couldn't find anything. But surely there has to be?! Otherwise clubs would have taken advantage of it to circumvent FFP and all other kinds of domestic tax/income laws.

You'd think so. But what about boot and kit deals and image rights etc.

Notts made a good point about Kev being out early season - I think that’s why we’ll prioritise Grealish over Kane.

Very unlike the club for Khaldoon to go on record leaving the club open to extortionate prices.
The deals had to be lined up. That is the only thing that makes sense.
My money says Grealish and Kane will join us.
Grealish first, relatively quickly within a fortnight.
Kane will take longer as both Levy and Kane need to project an illusion to the public. But I reckon the deal is already agreed.
Time will tell.

They still have to get some high earners off their books though before he can officially sign.
But 5 years is madness. 50% of what he was on is still €60M a year. I reckon Barca will need to offload a few players on the cheap to fund this

I don't think I am ready for the amount of Sucking Baldie will do.
He will build them up so much they will win because of his "respect".

He is 34 now isn't he.
Wow 60m euros when he is 37, 38 and 39! That is insane. Bewildering really.

According to the bent media, our offer for Kane was refused and we are interested in Lewandowski.
Can't say I would say no to him. The rags hit the jackpot with Cavani, I think Lewandowski can be an excellent alternative.

Said this a while back. Stick him in the six yard box and leave him there. Have him train up the kids as well. Would score for fun for us and we would get a couple of seasons from him whilst the markets sort themselves out.

I just think 100 million for a 32 year old is insane...the prem is far tougher than the Bundesliga.
Saying that , Its not my money and he is a top top player.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

I’d rather have Grealish and give Delap a try at the prices quoted for both Kane and Lew.

Fuck that x 2.
Mad money for him at his age.
That would make 150m on Haaland a bargain!!

I would be ok with Sterling being part of a swap deal this Summer.
Because you cannot rely on him in the key moments.
This was evident again in the Euros (even though he had a great tournament). He missed easy chances when he had time to think and he went missing in the final. A story we are all familiar with.
Swap him out for clinical finishers and City will be a better team next season IMO.

As much as I agree, I saw that happened when he was moved on the left. On the right he was on fire, same as 17-18 here.
I have a feeling he is really played out of position.

Ryan Bertrand joins Leicester on a free. Why are we never interested in free transfers that will improve us?
