I feel for Ake as I thought he and Dias were the only players who had a decent game. Everyone else was abysmal.

This is the downside of having a squad heavily involved in the Euros.

Lots of effort required on the training pitch this coming week.

It’s a trophy mate - everyone should be fucked off if we don’t win it .

I don’t get some fans mentality sometimes .

Totally agree. I was surprised we weren't ran over.

Same here, mate. My issue is going into another season with very little preparation. This game is just like us going to Macc’ all those years ago.

The service Torres got in that game was shocking. In fact he got none.
Having said that we really looked like we lacked a presence upfront.

I can see us struggling for the first 10 games of the season - Foden and KDB injured and they are our best 2 players .
The rest are strangers at the moment .

I'm in this camp. It's a match at Wembley with a trophy to be lifted by the winning captain. I know its essentially a pre season game but I want us to win every game.

But it's not a trophy in the same bracket as even the League Cup. For many years now this match is essentially a glorified friendly.

It's a match before the season starts when we have many of our best players not even in training yet. I don't think we can be expecting too much.

My concern is that we have a very tough start to the season and we're clearly well behind in our preparation. The squad have a lot of work to do in the next week.

(Btw...I'm still annoyed with Pep over the CL final. I've not got past that yet!)

Going to be a slow burner to start like last season agreed.

I think having KDB, Foden, etc back will take a bit of pressure off Grealish. When he came on it was expectation every time he touched the ball.

Hope the Leicester team bus runs off the motorway and crashes. Stay positive.

The whole dynamic about him has changed. It will be fascinating to see how he responds to it.

3/1 this morning, 5/2 even after City put that team out. Definitely not favourites. But I agree with you.

Overall, I think we must be realistic on what to expect out of what is coming next this season.

I am in the boat where I think we are lacking the hunger and our manager lost the trust of the squad after the final fiasco of last season and I don't know how he can win them back. Also, I expect some cheating early on this season and some very favorable decisions going for the rags/scouse to send them top.

On the plus side is Leicester played their best team and won from a dodgy decision.

Difficult to get past that CL cluster fuck. That was a terrible bit of management.

Walker, Ed, Zinch, KDB, Foden, Sterling, Laporte, Stones, Jesus all to come back in. Potentially Kane or another player to join. I’m a bit worried they’re all not back yet, but I’m not worried about today based on the fact all those top players are due to come back. Leicester has their first team out and were wank for most of the match, Barnes an exception (I’ll give you that Hazy)

“ Manchester City have lost three of their past four matches at Wembley Stadium”

That needs to be sorted.
