I don’t want him to go and I will be sad when he does, but I definitely don’t think we’ll be in free fall when he goes. It shows how little faith we have in our owners (the reason we’re where we are) that we don’t think they’d plan well enough for after Pep leaves.
Pep keeps messing up in CL and it is a priority for the club. So classify that as a failure - so far.......
(worth remembering that we were shafted by the authorities in 2 of those campaigns - Dippers and Spurs - nothing Pep can do about that).
But all the rest is incredible - the domestic dominance and the way it was delivered - all domestic cups in one season, 100 PL points, the run in vs. the Dippers, all sorts of records broken AND this when being shafted at every turn by the establishment through refs and VAR.
The club are setup holistically so when Pep leaves transition should be reasonably smooth.
But when you look at Pep's achievements and factor in the shafting I think a new manager will fall short when compared to Pep.
Time will tell.
