Complete Gibberish
Can anyone make out what Hazy is saying ?
Yes and it makes complete sense.
Hazy is making the point that the Rags, Liverpool and I will add Arsenal to that had a torrid time after successful managers left.
It could be similar for us. (Chelsea are the exception).
I know what you're saying but it's all to do with circumstances. Rags were a special case as the club was to all means and purposes a one man band with ol whisky nose making all the decisions. Arse were similar, except Wenger lost it at the end, and scouse just seemed content to bask in the glory of the past. It was the established order, rags winning the league, scouse and arse in CL places every year. All nice and cosy till some competition came along. The system could accommodate Chelsea so they were tolerated, but when we rocked up, five into four didn't go. Whisky nose knew the game was up and retired, Wenger outlived his welcome and scouse realised they'd have to invest or risk losing their guaranteed CL place.
I know this sounds like a history lesson and not particularly relevant but I believe it's the culture at these clubs that have caused their managerial problems.
City are much more like Chelsea but with more long term ambition.
