I’d be talking to nuno right now if I was on Newcastles board

Seems they are talking to every man and his dog. They should now be looking at Nuno and Koeman. I think both are better bets than Emery - he didnt deem to settle st the Arse but has fitted straight back in in spain

Howe been included as well. If they want to change the mentality of the club then they need a winner, not an ‘up and comer’. Like Mancini changed our mentality- “We’ll go to old Trafford and rip the banner down”

I think Emery is a very good manager, didn't get enough time to build at Arsenal.

Yeah agreed. Spurs won’t spend any money - Levy put everything on NFL teams playing games at the new stadium to cover the costs and they’ve just had 12 months of it not happening. He’s paid about £30m in sacking managers. They could have got £100m for Kane but he chose to be a bellend. Conte will leave within two years.

I think he will be a disaster. Hoping so. They will be mid table side once again before long

Strange appointment.
What changed between the Summer and now for Conti. Has he been promised a war chest to buy players? Spurs only have three players who are up to scratch and one of those is Kane.
Can't see how this helps Kane. Another rebuild that will take 3 years, he will be 32 by then.
An 18 month contract for Conti? Spurs require a long term rebuild and a skip full on money.
Strange, can only see this ending in tears, hopefully.

Unai Emery will turn down the chance to become manager of Newcastle United and will instead stay with Villarreal, reports Guillem Balague.
The former Arsenal boss confirmed on Tuesday he had been approached by the Premier League club, who made him their first choice to replace Steve Bruce.
Newcastle had hoped to have the Spaniard in place by the weekend.
But their manager search looks set to continue, with Eddie Howe and Paulo Fonseca possible alternatives.
Spanish football expert Balague says those advising Emery were left feeling uncertain about the club's strategy, with stories in England emerging that the shortlist was down to him and ex-Bournemouth manager Howe - two men with contrasting approaches and vastly different levels of experience within European football.

Doesn't fancy managing in the championship?

Reading that Howe is supposedly another option and that Emery questioned the direction or lack thereof of the owners. Cannot say I blame him. I don't think he fancies the PL again after the arsenal experience he's back settled at villareal

Any decent manager going to Newcastle is facing a huge task, a task even with plenty of money, will take time. Time they know they wont get.

Emery has ruled himself of the running for Newcastle, basically whoever goes in next won't be the one to spend big, it wil be the one after that who does.
