A guy at Barca the other day said, “we have friends at City”….
Most reports say we’re close to agreeing a fee. Crazy how when Bern and Laporte wanted to go in the summer we dug our heels in. Barca come knocking and we bend over backwards to help them out

It certainly looks that way but playing devil's advocate here it may be a longer term play by us.
Barca are extremely powerful, don't kick them when they are down and if they remember the help they could prove to be an extremely useful ally in the future. We need that help, think those penalty decisions last night.

No offence but that's a load of tosh. I doubt they'd come to our rescue if we were in similar situation. Fek them, pay up the asking price or do one

I don’t think La Liga would let them help us in any situation, however I don’t think that our owners would let us get in to the turmoil Barca are in.
It does make me wonder what the Spafia’s plans are after City and when Pep decides to leave. Will they head back to Barca? I’m sure they’d be welcomed back, and if so what is there to stop them helping Barca out now?

Can't see how he can go to Barca, when they are Nickel and Diming over Torres, can't imagine Raiola standing for any of that shit

I still think he’ll end up at Bayern personally.

He'll join us. Pep was smiling talking about him or should I say avoiding talking about him. Something is brewing. We haven't got much competition

Not so sure we should sell Torres , if anything we should be simply strengthening. Recently we've looked quite thin . Although some great potential is coming through , we need to strengthen not weaken the squad.

Correct. As is never mentioned we’ve got one of the smallest squads in the Prem. The fact we’ve managed to go top whilst having 3-5 of our best players injured is brilliant.

Plus Torres is not yet a striker. He was bought as a right winger who has an eye for goal and due to us not having a forward was tried out as a false 9. He looked half decent it must be said and he has done well for Spain in a more central role. So to sell him at 21 when Mahrez is 30 would be a poor move IMO
