At the end of the day, they rarely delivered. I think combined both of them have 2 or 3 goals versus the murdering cunts and rags, which is not enough.
Win or lose trophies, at the end of the season we will be in a difficult situation: Walker, Gundo, Fern, Kevin, Mahrez are getting older by the day and at least two of them are not at the levels they used to be.
Mendy is in prison, Zinch is in a terrible situation, while Sterling and Jesus I've mentioned above.
So we need to buy at least 3 players, but, as it became a custom, we will either get someone like Haaland and that will be the end of it. I remember having a thread last year here if we are an aging squad. Well, it starts to look that way.

I'd get rid of Sterling but i don't agree at all on the aging squad.
The only one of the 5 players you mention getting older by the day who's at the end of his career is Fern. The other 4 no chance.Mahrez never relied on pace so he's got a few years, Walker is as fast as ever. Kev is our best player and Gundo doesn't rely on pace so he's got a good few years as well. I can't work out who the 2 are you refer to, there's only Fern for me.
I think we've bought well from an age point of view. Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Laporte, Dias, Grealish, Bernardo, Rodri, all yet to reach or are at the peak of their careers. Jesus is young and a decent squad player for me then we have Foden and the Academy kids coming through.
If we get Haaland this summer and someone like Declan Rice who's a massive upgrade on Rodri we'll be fine for years.
stupot wrote:I agree about Gundo but i think he sees that same team who played the rags and last night as his best 11 other than Dias.
He tends to not tinker in the Prem at this stage of the season, there wasn't one person on here calling the selection last night- it's just when we could all see it not working the 1st obvious change for me is Gundo because he's got the David Silva trait of turning into space and moving the ball forward whereas so many last night wouldn't take the risk and were going backwards.
I still think there's no indication of decline in those players.

I think Kevin's injuries will surface soon, while Gundo not playing is odd for me. Gundo will be 32, Kevin 31.
While Walker, 32 in may, is in another odd situation after losing his friend.
Still, they can deliver, but they will be in decline.
And the kids seem that they are not breaking into the team. They are around, but how do we expect them to prove themselves?

I would take him for 50 mil. He would be fantastic under Pep.

Can he play Bernie's role? With the rumors him leaving and Kevin and Gundo not getting any younger.

We're ruining football for sure.
God, I hope to fuck we ruin it some more. In fact, I hope we ruin it until there's nothing left only boring old, Arab fuelled city.
Get this deal done.
PeterParker wrote:Interesting, but our transfer window might end before it starts.
Haaland & Alvarez.
Don't think we are going to sign anyone else, surely?

If Haaland is coming then him and Alvarez have cost less than 80 mil.
We bid 100 plus for Kane as well last summer so we can definitely get at least 1 more big name as well. DM and a full back for me.
