It's the Raz hate on here that baffles most people. He is an integral part of all City's massive success since he arrived seven seasons ago. 338 appearances, 131 goals for us, over 100 in the PL, 74 international caps and for years the first name on the England team sheet. Still only 27 at the peak of his career, Raz would walk into any other elite team and looks like he will pretty soon - to the cheers of the numpties on here.

I agree to this more or less to a 100%.
I also think he will extend his contract, which at least will keep the post count on this site up for another couple of seasons. :D

No, at this stage I want him to move on. He's had very decent stats as a wide forward but there was one season where he really peaked and never reached this levels again.

I think the likes of Son would have at least equalled and most likely bettered those stats in our side.

He's not competent enough in front of goal or under pressure and it's clearly psychological. That won't be fixed at this stage.

I wanted him more than any young player when he broke through at Liverpool and was delighted when we got him.

But we're better now. And we've outgrown him.

Foden should play in his position every game. For the next few years at least

KDB scores 4, 4 and you all are going on about Raz. Crazy.

Just a brilliant world class performance. What a player. How blessed are we?

Sterling is good for 15 a season and causes us no problems. I’d hate to see us buy a real flop again.

Better than that!
131 in all comps for his six seasons so far - that averages over 20 goals in each and he assists at least as many.

Why do we need to buy anyone? Palmer is ready.

Palmer is ready to replace Sterling? Have you seen him play in the EDS recently, he's only just back after a long injury and is a way off the pace even in that team. He is still growing and needs more time to develop the strength required in the top flight. Probably two more seasons tbh.

In his last match for the EDS he scored two and assisted one. The game before he scored. Have YOU watched him for the EDS recently?

One thing about the hypocrisy in the media though -

Mane - 31 starts - 15 goals - 2 assists
Sterling - 23 starts - 13 goals - 4 assists

Not much at all between them. Yet Mane is class and Sterling isn’t…

Every minute he's played, - hence my opinion.

Your opinion is that someone who scores goals and assists at EDS level is “off the pace”. You can’t have a go at anyones opinion on Sterling then that is exactly the same.

He turned 20 in May, hasn't played at all from February until the last two EDS games where he was subbed after 60 mins in both. Apart from the goals and assists he was quiet in those. Only a few weeks ago it was reported the club were considering surgery because his injury wasn't responding. The lad just isn't ready for regular first team football yet - he needs to mature physically to cope with its demands. It was the same with premature calls for Delap & McAtee earlier in the season, all are excellent prospects but not at the level City need at this stage in their development. To suggest he could replace Sterling next season is simply off the wall.

Agreed - he needs the same opportunity Foden got now - absolutely brilliant player

It's very tempting to see Palmer as a star in the making, he's such an exciting prospect with a lethal left foot. There are though areas of his game that are clearly short of what is required for our team's level which will hopefully improve as he fills out. As of now he's not ready although I agree 100% about him following the same path as Foden. The suggestion he could adequately replace Sterling or Mahrez next season is neither merited by his performances or realistic in terms of Pep's coaching methods.

The stats clearly show that he has scored a lot of goals for us Joihnny but theydon't show the horrendous amount of chances he has missed, some of them relatively easy.
They also don't reflect the number of times he has daudled on the ball, tried to take on a group of defenders and been beaten, nor the number of times he has passed up the chance of taking a shot, when a shot is clearly on.

As a team, we score a shed load of goals and to a large extent that hides the Razza issue.
The recent Wolves game is a great example. How many easy chances did he screw up? But he got a tap in and we scored 5, so all gets forgiven and forgotten, Razza gets another notch on his gun and hailed as a hero.

His chance to scoring ratio is simply not good enough for where we are aspiring to be

All true John, but if he had taken even half of chances he's fluffed he'd be the greatest goalscorer of all time. I'll settle for what we've got - the key is his integration with the other front players developed over 6 years.
