FFS we signed the best striker on the planet along with a rising star. Love how this media bigging up Sterling and Jesus lol.

We'll sign one more player in this transfer window and have a feeling 1 or 2 academy players will step up.

We'll sign Bellingham next season. Watch this space

No you aren't alone. Anyone who thinks Zinch is an adequate left back has either terrible eyesight or an extremely selective memory. Half decent in midfield.

Amazes me so many people seem to think they know far better than the people who bring us all these trophies

Its not necessarily zinchenko going but if him and ake go plus sterling, fernandinho and jesus, we have lost 5 key squad players from last year which was a relatively small squad. We have added three players to it and one of them is an unproven kid from Argentina. It just goes against what we have done previously. These aren’t players surplus to requirements there valuable squad players. Be interesting how it all plays out. Maybe the kids coming through will be given loads of game time, we might not have much choice esp if we get some injuries.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,

It’s more that we’ve got one of the smallest squads in the Prem, despite what the media tell us. The players were on their last legs at the end of the season. Players like Zinch are decent players that won’t moan about sitting on the bench and playing when needed.

We need those type of players.

Very true.

But as it stands him and Cancelo are our only choices at left back. And I know neither of them are left backs by trade and that shows in their competency in the position. But they are all we have. So unless we sign a proper bona fide left back then we shouldn’t entertain selling Zinchenko. And even then he IMO is worth keeping due to his versatility. It will be a long protracted season where injuries, as usual, could well play a decisive part.

I always was under the impression he loved it at our house. So unless that situation has changed and he has indicated he wants to move I can’t see us selling without adequate planning in his replacement. Of course, we may already have Cucarella, or indeed someone else, lined up and in the bag just waiting to be announced. So in that case maybe a big bid from Arsenal might sway us to sell?

Anything you've seen has been click bait for the murdering masses, as a counter to the fact we've signed the most wanted strikers from both Europe and South America. All bollox until or if Bellingham becomes available. Then we'll see...

Alvarez is 21 and is certainly not an “unproven kid from Argentina ‘’
He was top scorer in Latin America and also player of the copa libertadores competition .

I agree about us having a small squad though - we shouldn’t have let Zinch go or shouldn’t be contemplating letting him
go due to his versatility.

The front 10 can switch around and we have Palmer and McAtee as well. So not to worried there.
Th back five is a disaster waiting to happen if Ake and Zinch leave.
I really don't understand what is going on - it almost cost us the PL and it did cost us a place in the CL final.

Not like we have not been warned? Perplexed!

Can’t see these Neymar rumours being true. The guy goes against everything we’ve built as a squad for the last 6 years.

Would stink of Fergie signing RVP in his final season.

He was, wasn't he, nailed on cert.
Although joking aside Mbappe was always going to Madrid until PSG buried him in a pit of cash, made him manager, DOF, and chairman.
I imagine Bellingham has his eyes on a move to the PL. anything I have read has linked him with them. I haven't seen any links to us unless I have missed it.

Nathan Ake to remain at Manchester City amid Chelsea interest.

Nathan Ake will remain at Manchester City, The Athletic understands.

Chelsea had shown strong interest in re-signing the 27-year-old and were hopeful a transfer could be completed.

City, however, were never looking to sell Ake unless their valuation was met.
It is believed that Ake is pleased to be remaining at City, where he is a popular member of the squad.
Ake’s versatility is crucial to City and he represents great strength in depth.
It is understood to be a mutual decision for Ake to remain at City, with the club thought to be happy for him to remain at the Etihad.
The potential transfer to Chelsea did not advance because the terms of the deal were not right for City.
The West London club, meanwhile, are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for their defender Presnel Kimpembe.
Chelsea are also close to sealing a deal for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
City may yet lose another defender to a Premier League rival, with Arsenal in talks to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Good news. We need four centre backs and it would have been hard to get the right replacement. Looks like Cucurella in for Zinchenko if Arsenal buy him. Then that’s it.

It will be a brilliant window if we don’t lose anyone else and sign a LB. Talk of a “superstar” signing coming in but I can’t see it.
