There was a story before all this came out about the players having a party in Bredbury and about 10 escorts sold the story to the media about being invited. Quite a regular thing apparently.

As well as being a lunatic in my youth and working the door for many years I've had the pleasure (!) Of working among thousands of youngsters these last 12 years or so.

I'm not a fan of the silly 'if you're drunk its rape" philosophy or someone changing their mind next day - lets face it who hasn't had an experience best forgotten?

But I think I've seen this before. A nice guy seemingly who always seems to engineer situations where hes alone with a girl, pressure bit by bit. Before you know it he's got his way.

The girl didn't want it, felt a bit dirty and puts it down to experience. Until in this case they get to realise they ain't alone.

When 2 girls come to you, completely independently, with the same story......"I don't want to press charges but I think you should be aware for the sake of others......"

Benjamin Mendy trial: Manchester City player boasted ‘women want to f*** me’

Benjamin Mendy boasted that “all these women want to fuck me” as he pressured a woman into having sex with him, a court has heard.

Mr Mendy, 28, sat in the dock at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday as a pre-recorded police interview with Woman Four, who alleges that the Manchester City footballer raped her and we cannot name for legal reasons, was played to the jury.

During cross-examination by Mr Mendy’s defence team later on Wednesday, footage of Woman Four and Mr Mendy dancing together at a gathering later that night was shown to the court.

Mr Mendy is accused of eight counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexual assault. He denies all charges.

The day began with video footage from a police interview from earlier this year in which Woman Four said she visited Mendy’s house in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, in August 2021, after being invited by Louis Saha Matturie, a co-defendant in this case who also denies all charges.

Woman Four told police that when she told Mr Saha that she had to leave for work, he asked how much she would be paid and that he then offered her “three bags” — slang for a lot of money — to stay at Mr Mendy’s house.

As she recounted her version of events to a police officer, Woman Four said that Mendy had whispered in her ear to join him in the pool area of his mansion, and later messaged her to that effect.

“I messaged my friend saying, ‘I’m going downstairs, if I’m not back in five minutes come find me’,” Woman Four said.

“I don’t remember what we were talking about but we ended up kissing, he pulled his pants down, I said, ‘No, I’m not doing anything like that’. He was like, ‘Why? What do you mean?’. I remember him being quite direct and crude, saying, ‘You don’t trust me’. I said, ‘I don’t know you’. This was on the Friday and I had met him on the Tuesday.

“He said, ‘All these women want to fuck me’. I think he was saying stuff to make me want to sleep with him… I had to give excuses as to why.

“I didn’t come to do anything like that. I said I wasn’t on the (contraceptive) pill. I was (on the pill) at the time but I said I wasn’t. I said he doesn’t want to have my baby, but he wasn’t fazed. I said I didn’t want any disease. If he said all these women wanted to fuck him he’s obviously been around. I was so grossed out.”

Woman Four recounted how Mr Mendy had allegedly told her that she would be ostracised by other guests at his house if she went back upstairs from the pool area. After pulling his pants back up, he then allegedly pulled them down again as he stood in front of her.

“I felt I had given every excuse to get out of the situation,” she said, “but it didn’t faze him, nothing got through to him. It was like arguing with a brick wall.

“I ended up having to give in, there was nothing else I could say or do… we ended up having sex and it was not long or anything, within 20 seconds it was over.”

Woman Four also said that her friend, whom she had told to come and look for her, “told me she got stopped by two people on the stairs while she was trying to look for me”.

Under cross-examination by Eleanor Laws QC, Mr Mendy’s defence lawyer, footage of Woman Four and the City defender dancing together and having conversations was played to the court.

When it was put to Woman Four by Ms Laws that she was “physically comfortable” with Mr Mendy, based on that and other footage, Woman Four replied: “I wouldn’t say that, I was processing everything that had happened.”

Asked again after more footage was shown, Woman Four said: “I was very drunk that night, I actually got into trouble.”

Ms Laws suggested that Woman Four had been “excited” and “boasting” about the encounter with Mr Mendy when she met her friend in the hours afterwards.

“I was not excited,” Woman Four told the court. “I was so confused at this point, I didn’t know how to explain it. I wasn’t boasting.”

During Woman Four’s evidence, it was also claimed that a large area of Mr Mendy’s home was being redecorated after pictures had been taken during parties at the property and published in newspapers.

The court heard last week that Mr Mendy had been fined £200,000 in the autumn of 2020 for hosting parties that breached the UK’s lockdown restrictions. The court also heard that guests at his parties were told to hand over their phones or had their phones taken from them to check for identifiable pictures of the property.

The trial continues.

Benjamin Mendy trial: Woman wanted to sue Man City and defender after ‘predator continued playing’

A woman who alleges sexual assault against Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy had wanted to sue the defender and the Premier League champions, a court has heard.

Woman Three, whom we cannot identify for legal reasons, says Mendy grabbed her vagina at a party at his Cheshire home in January 2021.

On Tuesday at Chester Crown Court, she alleged the defender was a “predator” and she had considered legal action against his club because “the message was about him being allowed to play when he is endangering other lives”.

The alleged incident involving Woman Three took place in the early hours of January 2, 2021, less than 48 hours before Manchester City played a Premier League match against Chelsea in London on January 3, for which Mr Mendy was an unused substitute.

Mr Mendy was first arrested on November 11, 2020, and was suspended by Manchester City in August 2021 after he was charged with four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

During cross-examination by Mr Mendy’s defence lawyer, Eleanor Laws, it was put to Woman Three that she had told police after the alleged incident, “Let him play, I’m going to sue him.”

She agreed with that assertion and added: “I do and the reason I used those words was that if he had been stopped before the party on New Year’s, what happened to me would have never happened, and what had happened to anyone else wouldn’t have happened either.”

When asked who she was referring to, Woman Three said: “To all the others.”

Mr Mendy is accused of eight counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexual assault. He denies all charges.

Last week, the court heard that Woman Three and Woman Two, who alleges Mr Mendy raped her vaginally, anally and orally, are acquaintances and had been on a break to Wales together in 2019, before either of the alleged incidents.

Mr Mendy’s defence referred to Woman Two and asked Woman Three whether she was prepared to sue the full-back and his club because she claimed she was touched inappropriately over her clothes, to which she replied: “No (it was) because they had let a predator continue playing and put other girls at risk.”

When asked what she wanted to get in return, Woman Three said: “It wasn’t about getting anything out of it, the message was about him being allowed to play when he is endangering other lives, like what happened to (Woman Two). What happened to me was nothing compared to what happened to other girls, I know that.”

Woman Three confirmed that she had never started legal proceedings against Manchester City or Mr Mendy. She explained during questioning by prosecution QC Timothy Cray that she had made the comments because she was angry “he was still allowed to be outside like normal, to train, play games, go clubbing, go partying, like nothing was wrong, like he had done nothing wrong”.

During cross-examination, the court was shown a video taken in the early hours of January 2, in which several women are seen dancing with Louis Saha Matturie, Mr Mendy’s co-defendant, and Mendy.

Mr Matturie is accused of eight counts of rape and four of sexual assault. He denies all charges.

Several guests at the party are seen inhaling the contents of balloons, and Woman Three dances close to Mr Mendy towards the end of the two-minute video.

The defence put to Woman Three that the video was taken after the alleged assault and that she had been happy to dance alongside the defendant, in contradiction to her earlier statements.

“I was at a party participating with everyone else,” Woman Three said. Regarding the timing of the video, she replied: “I can’t answer that. I can’t tell you what time that video was taken. I also can’t recall what time I was assaulted.”

The court also heard from the mutual friend of Woman Two and Woman Three, who had introduced them in 2019 and had spoken to each of them separately following the alleged incidents.

Recalling her conversation with Woman Three about the alleged sexual assault, the friend said: “When she (Woman Three) mentioned it was a footballer I asked who it was because I thought about (Woman Two) and what had happened to her.”

When asked to specify the footballer in question, the friend said that Woman Three had told her, “It was Benjamin Mendy.”

“When she told me what had happened and who it was, I told her what had happened to (Woman Two),” she added.

The trial continues.
