On holiday on Florida so missed the game. Reading on here it sounds like the Anfield curse struck again and we just shit the bed again?

Or were we unlucky especially with the disallowed goal?

Either way, a very disappointing result and weekend with other results

For example, it seems like Alvarez is getting less and less football time since scoring that double versus Forest. The next game after that, if I am not mistaken, he was bench without getting minutes. That is piss poor man management.

But again, the players fucked it up yesterday imho.

I thought he played against Copenhagen

We didn't shit the bed , we were very unlucky that Altringham's finest decided to bottle the goal.

Haarland did nothing wrong, Fabinho got it all wrong and decided to go down. Haarland grasped at him . No different than most players putting their arms out and pushing you away when they try to make a spurt forward. You will see this week in week out and it will never get called. Yet , they looked for an excuse.

Strangley enough Milner was allowed to clearly push foden in the back twice in the same manoever - indeed clearly pushing him over the line to the floor - but Alti's finest and the VAR team somehow thought that was ok .

Just to add some context.
The Ref told the managers before the game that he was going to 'let the game flow' and not blow up for every little thing.
The game proceeded to be reffed in that manner.
The Ref waved play on for Haaland's tangle with Fabinho.
Play continued through the phases and we scored.
Then the inconsistency was introduced.
VAR advised the Ref of the shirt pull.
He discarded his 'let the game flow' policy, the previous phases were assessed and the goal was disallowed.

One final point.
The 'let the game flow' policy of the ref before the match, would hand the team with the least possession a distinct advantage.
They would have more opportunity to foull trying to win the ball back.

City did themselves no favors with an unbalanced lineup, tactics, some players off it and Cancelo's defending for their goal.
But go 0-1 ahead and it was a different game. Liverpool would have had to chase the game and we could have picked them off.
For example, when we were chasing the game at 1-0, Liverpool should have scored another two or three.

All in all another Anfield stitch up.

VAR does not advise . People with a mission advise.

Fabinho fell over onto Haarland , he went in with his arm raised and bounced of the big fella.

You see these things happening all the time. Nobody bats an eyelid.

City's team was not unbalanced. Things just didn't work out so well .

Re Cancelo , he had a poor game and shows clearly that he is not a defender. Any normal defender would have got a head on that kick from Allison. Furthermore if you are one on one you have to make sure Salad doesn't get up from your tackle. Remember, it was a 50-50 ball , it was up in the air and surprisingly because of Allison's slip as he kicked the ball, it came good for Salah. Normally Allison wellies the ball anywhere.

Anyway , they got lucky ... these things happen , whichever eleven you start.

Then "They" are idiots - whoever you are referring to as "They". Haarland went for the ball. The goalie did too. there was nothing unusual about that . Neither had possession of the ball.

I just don't get his line up. We've been playing well with Foden right and Grealish left. We had intensity in the derby and these two set the tempo. Yesterday we just kept slowing the game down. Foden tore Robertson a new one season before last. Robertson is just back from injury so why the fuck didn't we go for the jugular. Milner struggled to cope with Grealish last season and was lucky to stay on. Foden didn't take him on once in 96 minutes and just kept recycling the ball back into mid. One sub in the 90th minute is inexcusable.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I think we're lacking a nasty c**t in our side, our players are technically gifted but lack a nasty streak. Someone that will rile opposition and rival fans. A leader, not necessarily gifted, just someone will drag the team and rise to the occasion, sometimes you can win without relying solely on technical ability. They'll be suited in latter stages of UCL and playing teams like the filth and Spurs.

He did, but I felt that his game time dropped after Forest when he started to find his mojo really good.
Don't understand why.

I’d love a Tiatto to whack on in the 89th min and just boot a scouser into next week.

To be honest, the only one that comes to mind in the new era is De Jong.
Fern was ocassionaly.

Looking back at Pep, his system doesn't allow players like that.

John Giles and Graham Souness would fit in Pep's system. Both technically gifted and masters of the dark arts. Currently nobody around with both attributes.
I have high hopes for Kalvin Phillips.

Apparently they're furious with it. I can see it now, this is going to stick in people's mind, racist Liverpool and that Nazi kraut. They've been throwing barb wires at us for years and now they're crying like victims, finally we've nuked the cunts.

It definitely seems that way . Something is definitely going on and parts of the media have seized upon it and are now going all out against Klopp and LFC . Even Talkshite has gone full throttle against Klopp this morning totally destroying Klopps bullshit about “net spend” . Martin Samuel has also destroyed the bin dipping cunts and others following suit . A fucking kamikaze drone has hit Anfield this morning for sure !

Agree on

1) we need a nasty cunt
2) ref deciding to let loads go from the start 10₩% benefits a dirty Liverpool expecting low possession
