Would have agreed RE: Rags and Scousers 10 years ago, but with the bus attacks, coin throwing at Pep, spitting at our trainers, false accusations of Hillsborough chants, following Foden around on a night out and assaulting his mum, bulling Sterling for daring to leave, Klopp, constant cheating when we play them, booing the national anthem, denial of Heysel - it’s not hard to understand why a City fan would hate the dippers more than United.

The Rags are horrible and always will be, but I’ve grown up surrounded by them and I’m happy to have banter with them about football. I wouldn’t even engage in conversation with a scouser about football or non-football topics. The whole city of Liverpool is scum infested. They think in their heads that they’re hard done by and that everyone wants to be a scouser. That they’re some special creatures. They’re just odious scum.

All those things the scousers have done are as despicable as you say but the rags are no better in my opinion. That video of them surrounding our players getting on the bus last season after the game there, Herrera gobbing on our crest when coming off the pitch at our place, the bile they spouted when Tevez came here and he was only on loan there, the not in my lifetime, and worst of all that clock in their stadium totally taking the piss out of us for years. Don't see dippers doing that to Everton or Arse to Tottenham. Hate them with a passion.

For me, as an outsider, there is no equality between hating the Scouse vs the rags. Rags have became irrelevant, while as a kid I didn't mind them as much, I was concentrated only on the days we did something, a draw or a win. Also, I think our two clubs have a history together, from Frank Swift, to Mike & George, etc.

With the scouse is pure poision. The media, everytime when they are somewhat relevant for the title, are making them larger than life. All of their despicable fans come out of their bins and start to talk shite about how incredible their are. The constant ass kissing of how amazing the fans are on Klanfield and so on.
I written a while back, had a chat with a proper scouse that has a pub here in Bucharest over 12 years ago, within the first minute he asked me if I support City because of the money.

I didn’t hear much on Tevez when he signed for us. If there was anything said from them they had every right to after they “Welcome to Manchester” billboard. It was banter and nothing more. The stuff from Liverpool fans with Sterling was out and out bullying and not only turned their fans against him but every other fan of other teams ended up booing him - purely down to the scouse medias coverage of him leaving.

Which video where they were surrounding our players? I saw the one where about 5 rags were shouting nonsense at our players but that was it. Nothing compared with smashing up our bus.

We’ve changed Munich chants for years. You might get the odd “you can’t sing that” but nothing like the bollocks Liverpool lied about recently with the Hillsborough stuff.

I’m very firmly in the camp of despising the dippers more and have been for some years.

A couple of things for my money separates the two fan bases.
The dippers almost to a man have absolute no shame and an incredible sense of entitlement which actually goes beyond football and reaches deep into wider society
Try having a conversation about football, whether that’s about them and us or the wider topic of football in general. You can actually have a decent conversation with a lot of rags, not all obviously, but a good number nonetheless. Not so with the dippers. It’s rare to find a dipper you can converse with rationally

But we sang about Tevez’s neck scar for years. Their song I’d just see as banter. They didn’t go after him in the media for years, making up lies about how he left, bullying him to the point every other fan booed him. That’s what Liverpool did with Sterling.

The flag was the equivalent of living next door to someone who's struggling and gloating over the fact.
I get some of the fans doing it, never the club.
Our answer was simple, the countdown in 11/12 when Vinny lifted the trophy.
