Southampton were better than us and did not allow our players to have the ball longer than a second - we have not had a team do that to us as long as I can remember .

Shit play by just about every City player tonight .

Phillips ? Laughably slow and caught so many times I lost count .

Southampton deserved the win and we couldn’t complain of it had been 3 nil .

It seems that way, but if you look at the program over the next months , we have some tough weeks ahead .

Perhaps it is best to bow out now and go for just the three . Semi is over two games - ridiculous when you see what is coming up. We need three piints on Saturday .

Playing Walker at cb though when we have three sat on the bench. What’s that about?

Proving to Southgate that he’s a cunt?

That bit was tounge in cheek and it was sent in error before I had finished typing.

Mine was tongue in cheek as well, mate.

Things are way off and we have to see that we aren’t at our best, for whatever reason, probably multiple. Certain players aren’t what they were and Pep has to distinguish where those issues are. That’s where he earns his corn.

Whenever you change your system, there will always be a transition.

Personally, I’m happy where we are, even though tonight’s result hurts for many, this is what gives us as chance later on in the game.

Pep needs to play a regular back four. That's a Start feel like we play a random 4 in every game with eveb stones and akanji playing full back. Tonight walker Centre back. Its madness.

Me as well, we just need a regular back 4. This season has been a nightmare and with had to rely on one of our newest signing to be the rock, which he’s tried to do but how can you be perfect when all around you are falling apart.

When we won the league and cup, got to the champions League final. Laporte was injured all season. The back four was walker, stones, Dias and zinchenko. Every game. No fucking about. They were the most solid defence I'd seen us have since Mancini's title season. We need that back but Ake on the left. I like laporte but he's got a bit of fanny in him when he should be a colossus. Like otamendi.

Agreed.

Akanji is having to be our dias. We were a joke at the back before we bought dias.

So how about

Walker/ Lewis stones akanji ake

No left back purchase biting us AGAIN as gomez is several levels below. Why did we buy a guy who's only been left back for a year? In the summer I was screaming for any steady Eddie Ben thatcher type. Ake is ok but he's a cb and gets done for pace.

All of the above wirh the caveat to Pep to not try to overthink and try his square pegs in round holes. Walker is not a cb, was caught at least twice before they scored their first last night and gomez is a winger playing left back very poorly. I get the rotation but for fuck sake, play the players in their natural positions. Expect a balls out performance at the swamp now

I don't know what to think this morning. Worse performance we've had for a long long time. Just looked so off pace, passing a miss and not one shot on target.

I keep thinking, did Pep throw the game as we have a lot of big games coming up and he's more focused on league / fa Cup/ chumps league. Yet of this was the case why bring on all the subs at half time to change it round. Not that it made a difference.

Is it the unsettled back line? Different players every game and it's causing others to pick up on the vibe?

Or Peps tinkering? Walker as a Cb???? We have others who could have played there without effecting Saturday. Is he cooking up some hair brained idea for the Rags?

Fuck knows but it isn't good or assuring for the rest of the season. I now fear that fucking lot finishing over us and maybe them going on to grab the title.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?
