Iheanacho hits the post. We’ll win this match but we’re leaking oil. Rest a few for the Cup semi final? Hmmmm.

Sorry but Palmer needs to get off to Preston or somewhere

Happened against the Rags at home - we were smashing them and then too many changes and it fucked up our rhythm for the next few matches.

Three points but food for thought for Pep. Some of our B team aren’t good enough. Looks like Rodri will have to play and play.

We sold Lavia and bought Phillips.

Dogshit second half performance. If this is how we perform three goals up, we are absolutely fucked in Munich.

If we are a serious club, we should never let Phillips and Gomez touch the pitch ever again. Utter liabilities. Neither have done anything good in a City shirt. Worthless players.

Dias totally lost concentration. Lost his man on the corner, stupid turnover to Maddison who should've scored. He almost gave it away like he was in the Bernabeu.

Mahrez was absolutely wank. What the fuck was he doing, strolling round the box while Walker was isolated out wide?

Need to improve.

And he will mate.

He had to be taken off. There's gonna be fuck all rest for him between now and the end.

He's irreplaceable.

Phillips is not good enough.

Palmer though, he's just fucking shite. An incredible instinct to use quick feet to buy himself some space then he suddenly becomes conscious he's got the ball and doesn't know what the fuck to do. Then just spends the rest of the game ambling about. No more please Pep, as soon as he came on we were down to ten men.

Great first 45 minutes but nobody in that second half did enough to say "pick me pep"

Anyway job done. Final shout to Eddie for that very important save on Madison

I don’t think our rhythm will be affected for any more matches. We’ll be back to full strength on Wednesday. I suspect it’ll be full strength in the FA Cup semi final.

The early subs tells you that Pep is deadly serious about Wednesday. Job not done.

I didn't want a nervy end any more than anyone else mate, but overall, this is exactly the way we wanted it. The most important players off and ready for wed.

Get them off early after we take a decent lead v Sheffield utd and it's all going according to plan

The sheer fucking lack of ability of the backup options means that our actual competent players will get zero rest from now until the end of the season. We'd get hammered by Sheffield United if we played Palmass, Fatllips, and Gomissing.

Those who played 90 plus on Tuesday will have been pretty fatigued. They all looked very tired at the end of that match.Yes Pep will be fuming. Players are fed up not playing and then this. Phillips Palmer and Gomez really poor. You can’t carry three players in a PL match. Phillips is not prepared to make an incisive pass. Frightened of giving away possession I suppose. That position requires a lot more than he seems capable of giving.

At 5.30 I'd have taken 3 points however they arrived. At 7.30 they are in the bag with the important players rested early ready for Bayern.

It could have been better, of course, but the result at this stage of the season is priority. And its now over to Arsenal who are away in a tough derby.

Bayern had a poor 1-1 home draw against mid table Hoffenheim.
