Job done. 3-0 in the first leg was always going to be hard to overcome. Three semis in a row isn’t it?

On to the FA Cup semi

Overall a passable performance given the state of the tie, but we switched off after Haaland scored, and we cannot do that at all against Madrid no matter the score.

I think we were a bit sloppy and kept giving the ball away in bad areas. Conceded too many soft chances. We have to improve in that Madrid tie, or else they'll butcher us.

How bad was that pitch. How many players slipped over the 90 minutes

At the Etihad for the second leg in the semis which is an advantage in my view.

Very happy with that!

Bayern were always going to come out flying. But we kept our composure, especially when they fouled us so many times.

Only concern is at full back. Ake and Akanji both struggled tonight and Real Madrid would definitely target them. Ake has generally had a good season but I’m not sure Akanji should be starting ahead of Walker.

Though key thing is Pep sticks to our way of playing and doesn’t try any silly tactics.

But overall a great performance over 2 legs. The players and manager were excellent.

1 -.1 happy with that, might not have been a vintage performance, but its the result that matters.
We've a great chance to do this.

We all know how ruthless Madrid are, and how badly they battered us when we switched off. This City side tend to get complacent in the CL. Monaco, Spurs, Madrid ties were all dropped from winning positions. We could play better than Madrid for 177 of the 180 minutes of that upcoming tie, score thrice, and still go out because they scored with their only three attacks. We have to be perfect against them or we are done for.

Might have to get used to Akanji as LB and Walker at RB for a while, hopefully Ake will be back for the semis 9 May.
