Genuinely thought they'd sneak it at the end. Brilliant result for us.
Loved the silence in the stadium that greeted the final whistle

To be fair Mase they've put the title race firmly in our own hands and stopped you having to get your todger out so you should cut them some slack

Be a disaster if we didn't go on to win the league if we win on Wednesday. Even a draw and we're in the driving seat

Stole half our academy. Stole a member of staff that fucked them off for Chelsea asap. Stole Wilcox this summer. Gave up two goals in two minutes. They can smoke my little todger.

If the league had carried on with the Qatar added on time thing, I would have been happy. It's the way it should be, Qatar was a breath of fresh air. But...the league didn't carry on. Football instantly went back to a couple of minutes added on time, no care about ball in play. So if any excuses come out about soton's time wasting, that's bullshit.
Same for arsenal's penalty when ederson took their player out during the one on one. Another thing that hasn't happened since. Tuesday night will be the ideal time to roll that one out again won't it.

It's all academic, but even if we lost to them it' would still be in our hands.

ceteris paribus if they don't win at ours we'll be top of the pile - again

ceteris paribus my arse . If we beat them we are two points behind with two games in hand . That in itself does not mean we will be top of the pile , rather second with two games in hand.

I'm afraid your understanding of Ceteris Paribus is indeed emerging from your posterior region, all other thing being equal means we have won our games in hand i.e. equal games played and won.

Lol, I had no idea they played.
Excellent result. I would take that every day of the week. Now let’s do our job and rip them a new one next week.

oh dear , all things being equal and you are using only the win column , when clearly all things are not equal as we now have two games in hand and fewer points. Those two games have to be played and we don't know the outcome.

Ceteris Paribus means simply the assumption that if we have played an equal number of games and won the two in hand only a defeat at home would put us off the top. The complete forecast provides for the extra games being played as well as being won. Two columns.

Didn't expect that but will take it. Its 6 points dropped on the last 3 games, got to be demoralising.
We need to put another nail in that coffin Wednesday.
