Isn’t this the guy we were linked with?
Also, how many players have Forest signed now?!

Think it's 18
More than our squad size!

Now announced as having signed on a season loan. Does beg the question of why we never do this

Loan signings are usually short term fixes?
We build teams strategically, long term view. Committed to the cause, etc...

They are short term fixes I agree. But left back has been a problem area for years now. A short term fix wouldn't be a bad thing in this instance. And of course, if he turned out to be decent and just what we needed then we sign him

Fair point but there is the whole having to learn how to play in a Pep team thing.
That seems to take most very good players a season to learn and bed in.
That makes it difficult to get 'plug and play' players.

Another fair point about taking time to adapt and is probably the main reason why it doesn't happen.

Also might be a factor why our lads take a while sometimes on loans elsewhere. They are used to playing a way no one else does, or at least is successful at. They are playing with guys who though have experience and lots of match experience, aren't as skillful or have the vision.

I remember watching Barnsley a couple of times a few years ago when Devante Cole was on loan there. He was making runs expecting the ball to come because that's what he was used in training and playing in our youth systems. But the balls didn't come because the Barnsley lads didn't have the vision or skill to execute the pass and it make Cole look foolish

He seems settled at Oakwell now anyway despite relegation last season. Very murky club ownership.

Quite. The little shit has done a dreadful job at Nancy, for which he deserves a fucking massive kick in the bollocks.

Quick rumour round up - Zaha or Neto to Arsenal, Paqueta & Emerson to West Ham, Dan James to Spurs, Fofana & Gordon or Zaha ? to the Chavs, Antony & Aubameyang to the rags, Boly & Aurier in advanced talks at Forest - would make it 20 signings
but not a squeak about anybody heading in our in our direction :(

As the desperate also rans spunk millions City meanwhile have got rid of Sterling for £50 odd million and bought an unstoppable goal scoring machine for the same . No wonder they are all panicking eh ?

Zaha will go nowhere as perusual.

Paqueta a done deal for the hammers

Aubamyang will pray to get away from barca having been an unused sub sunday night having arrived home to be physically attacked in his home early hours of Monday

Would not like to see Aubameyang go to the Rags.
If he puts in a shift in he will score lots of goals.
Hopefully, they give him a massive salary and a long contract.
That way he might not bother trying just like he did at Arsenal after signing his new contract.

Callum Hudson-Odoi: Chelsea winger set to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan

Wow. Career turned to shit. He was on the verge of joining Bayern before Chelsea refused to let him go and he signed a new deal.

Every team is going berserk strengthening this season .

The idea that City don't make serious mistakes in the transfer market is ridiculous - Kane was the obvious most recent example, a wasted summer compounded by the Grealish rip off. In this window the failure to outbid the Chavs for Cucarella is really depressing - he became their fourth top class left back - they already had Chilwell, Emerson went on loan to West Ham only yesterday and Alonso is still on their books - where he'll stay if Barca don't pay up.
