Saw this in the beeb gossip not so long ago. Makes you wonder on rhe gk succession plan. I thought trafford was being groomed as Ed's replacement. Guessyou can never have enough quality keepers

Trafford's 5 years older than this kid. I'd say you need 2 quality keepers every 3 years for the EDS groups to keep the squads competitive, with most of these not getting anywhere near the first team in the end. Also, we've had a fair few keepers come through our youth teams to go on and have decent careers elsewhere. And Loris Karius.

Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Just had a look now, and GKs who've left our academy include the following:

Gavin Bazunu - Southampton
Angus Gunn - Norwich
Wayne Hennessey - Forest
Kasper Schmeichel - Nice
Daniel Grimshaw - Blackpool
Loris Karius - Newcastle
Louie Moulden - Wolves
Arijanet Muric - Burnley

And about a dozen others who have played in League One, Two or the Scottish Prem, and a further half dozen who forged a career in other countries.
