He’s had no game time so is bound to be rusty. On the plus side, it was his first time pass to Palmer that sent him away for the goal.

Don't subscribe to the game time theory, he should be able to hit his man in this dead rubber and no press from Chelsea

I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He’s had a lot of disruption this season so let’s see how he does next season. He won’t be the first to underwhelm in his first season. You could level the same at Rodri, Mahrez and Cancelo.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I get what you’re saying, but none of those examples you’ve mentioned absolutely stank the place out like he has. It’s quite obvious Pep doesn’t trust him and the guy came back from the WC overweight!!

I don't know how it is on BT Sports but the atmosphere seems great.

None of them had the disruption he’s had either. Long term injury pretty much straight away and as you say overweight when he returned from the World Cup which obviously pissed Pep off. By the time he was anywhere near fit enough we were into end of season run trophy mode so with his lack of game time up to that point he was never going to be trusted. He’ll know himself now that he has to pull his tripe out in pre season or piss away the biggest opportunity he’ll ever have.

Which long term injury mate? He’s constantly been on the bench..

You mean Pre-WC where he had the shoulder injury then went straight off to the WC?
