He’s just married into a Cheshire family though hasn’t he? Can’t remember his wife’s dads name (Ashley something..) but I’m sure he was briefly at City. I can’t imagine her going over there.

Ashley Ward

If he was given a £25-30M per year tax free for example, it'd be a nice sweetener for them

They were married in a Moslem ceremony. Luxury life in Saudi would be very different for her than for other Saudi women but you make a fair point.

Oh yeah, don’t get me wrong, if she sits at home all day as a footballers wife she has no say in where he goes imo. But he has just had a kid with her and if she’s used to her life in Cheshire because that’s all she’s known, it may play a part.

No way never knew he was married to his daughter! He was with us at our worst, I had high hopes for him as he was decent at blackburn before us. Mahrez second wife, didnt realise he was a player.

Anyway i like mahrez, he abs destroys the cannon fodder and on his day is as good as anyone. If he did go he would need to be replaced ideally with someone with pace. Assuming bernardo goes thats our current first choice and second choice right winger gone.
derby day the scores were level,

silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just realised he played for us before blackburn I could have sworn he had a stint when we were shite, must be thinking of Ostenstad!

Proper journeyman footballer. Came through the academy but think he only played once for us. Had the likes of David Oldfield, Trevor Morley, Niall Quinn and Wayne Clarke ahead of him during his time with us so not surprising that he moved on. Think he went to Leicester but can remember him playing for Crewe, Norwich, Derby, Barnsley, Blackburn and Sheff Utd.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Winning the CL and Treble wont harm our pursuit to attract players. Remember Hazard chose Chelsea in no small part to them winning the CL that year.

And perhaps more importantly, it might help us keep our players from wanting to leave

If he does go we need a proper replacement. Cole Palmer isn’t it atm. We need someone that can get a goal from nothing like Mahrez can. I’d rather be stayed another year and then went Saudi but I guess it’s up to him.

I'd be happy for Mahrez to stay but if he wants to go to Saudi then we could probably receive a good fee for him.

I'd rather let him go than Bernardo.

If we lose Bernardo, Mahrez and Gundogan then it will give more opportunities for Alvarez but we'll need to be in the transfer market to bring in more quality.

Agreed that Cole Palmer isn't up to it at the mo. To be honest I don't think he'll make it with us, but maybe a loan somewhere at a lower half Premier League club could help us decide if he's good enough or not.

I think McAtee has more chance of making it with us than Palmer

Manchester United are willing to sell England winger Jadon Sancho, but while Aston Villa are keen on the 23-year-old, they do not want to pay the £60m asking price.

What could have been under Pep eh.

Bernard’s bird has probably not clocked they will be playing in the abandoned Olympic stadium. Added to the chasing for his wages……

I love this and it does highlight the pit-falls of believing your own hype and being badly advised. He did what he believed was right for him in leaving us, but he clearly doesn't have the mental strength to push himself and he has been mostly anonymous at the swamp - contrast with the player who was taken on that US tour by Pep - Foden

I have no doubt that if we took Sancho back he would regain his form and improve.
