Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

West Ham supposedly confident we’ll come in for Rice. The trouble is selling clubs and players agents have every incentive to use our name to bump up prices. Not sure we’ll pay 100 million for Rice especially as he seems to want to go to Arsenal. We’re apparently already going to spend a lot on Gvardiol. Until we know the situation with Gundogan and Bernardo it’s hard to know how things will pan out this window.

West Ham are talking shit. Rice will end up at Arsenal. Gundo and Silva stay.

We get an add on percentage if whoever buys him sells on. So difficult to get young players right. Mostly the Club move on the right players but once in while they’re going to get it wrong. Maybe Lavia was in that category.
I think we’ve been spot on with the kids that have come through over the last 5 years. Can’t think of one mistake.
I think Lavia will be a mistake though. Not just letting him go, but whoever structured that deal is on drugs. Why put the buy back in for 2024 and not just a buy back? Silly move.
Could we not stick a bid in, bite the bullet and pay 40m?? Well technically 26m seeing as Southampton coughed up 14m or so to buy him. It's never tol late

They can have Cole Palmer on loan as well, or one of the other kids. Wilcox has just gone as their director or football so we’d be negotiating with someone we’re familiar with.

I did wonder why he was there for the semi and the final. Would be great to get him back. Might also encourage Pep to extend again.

Kalvin wants to stay and fight. I’m happy with that. I realised the other day that Rodri was fuckin awful when he came but is the best DM in the world now.
If he knuckles down hopefully he comes good.

He goes Saudi and we know all the “lifestyle” issues were all bullshit.
This Saudi thing smells a lot like China a few years ago when Tevez went there. They soon realised how shit it was and bailed out.
Wander if his bird will fancy Saudi Arabia.
Cohabitation between unmarried couples is illegal in Saudi his bint won't get a visa.

https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/stat ... 9Awxy5lqVQFabrizio Romano says here we go on Kovacic deal. Just a medical but everything else agreed.
Full bore ahead on Gvardiol. Player keen but Leipzig hard to shift on their very high valuation.

Deal is supposedly a guaranteed 25 million Sterling plus an extra 5 million based on City winning titles not on player appearances.

I suppose if we took Sterling back that would be roughly equivalent to us giving them £25M.

Media reporting it was £30m when you include the add-ons.
Weird because they reported the ginger lad from Brighton to scousers for just £35m…didn’t include add-ons
