Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This is what it seems. I remember around the time we sold SWP to Chelsea, our Academy was said to cost something like £2m per year to run, and made an annual average of a few hundred grand in transfer fees, with the SWP transfer basically ensuring its sustainability for the mid-term. I wonder how much it costs and earns these days: A player like - to take a random example - Ryan McGivern would have probably been on under £2K per week while with us, while nowadays someone in his situation will likely be on over ten times that amount, plus we have far, far more players due to both the nature of youth football and the fact that our players are attractive loanees for clubs both in the UK and abroad.
We’re now the “business” that we used to take the piss out of the rags for being.

Leicester looking for £40m for Harvey Barnes. Imagine we accepted £5m more for Bernie

Silly season indeed.

I’d take this with a pinch of salt but the word from a squad security guard is that Palmer is happy with a bit part, bench type role and has stated he doesn’t have the desire to reach the top. Pep will sniff that out out he hasn’t already.

A loan to League 2 should sort that.

Southampton have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Manchester City winger, Carlos Borges, this summer.
As I say, get this under control City. Taking our best academy coaches/directors and clearly speaking to player’s illegal - we need to warn them
If they want half our academy we’ll have Lavia back for free

De Gea apparently definitely out at the Scum. Onana almost certainly in.

De Gea’s farewell message to United fans.
Surprised he didn’t drop the pen when he was writing his farewell message

He’s been treated very badly. Kept hanging on in case they didn’t find a replacement. Over the years he saved the Scum time after time.

De Gea’s farewell message to United fans.
Don’t know how this is breaking news today. He ceased his employment at the swamp on the 30thJune when his contract expired.

Treated very badly?
He has trousered at least £375k a week for the last five years. The next best paid goalkeeper in the world is probably on around £150k a week, if that. That’s well over double.
He has taken the fucking piss big time

He was United Player of the Year four times. He played in front of shite defences and saved them time after time. Clearly the Manager didn’t fancy him because he’s not good with his feet. They should have just parted company instead of dangling a new contract at him.

Nice one SC. Does Salford have it's own national airline like they do in Yorkshire ?

Think to say he is utter dog shit is harsh to be fair. He has been very good not so long ago. Obviously less so now.
But to all the rags saying he was and still is one of the PL greats, the lack of interest in him from other PL and indeed European clubs, despite him being a free transfer is very telling.
Maybe his wage demands are putting prospective buyers off
