Fabrizio says deal done with Leipzig over Gvardiol. First part of medical already passed. Too late for the plane if true Maybe he could be flown out separately?

Last two Liverpool captains heading to Saudi. Not heard much about “sportswashing,” “mercenaries,” and “oil money” though…weird.

Had the impression that ”You'll never walk alone" was the motto of communism.

Watched the lads are back. A thing I love is the understated role Scott Carson plays. A great signing.

Newcastle having to sell their best player because of FFP  Were they one of the clubs that voted for it by any chance?

They were in favour of ffp and voted accordingly - chickens are coming home to roost
Why don’t we go for him seeing as mahrez is off?

It’s lovely to see.

I think he’s a bit too “flamboyant” for Pep. I’d imagine he’d be hard to get playing the Pep way

Had high hopes we were gonna see something of this lad this season

Always seemed to be scoring for the under 21s

Borges is a winger PP. We need one with Mahrez going. Which makes it weird we’re being linked with 20 year old wingers at Lyon when we have one we’re selling.

Maybe it's bad timing for Borges?we must feel that he's not ready to step up and if the kid from Lyon is a better fit, then the fee for Borges goes towards that. I quess we weren’t thinking that Mahrez would go and we had time to loan Borges out but the Saudi deal was too good to turn down and we have had to change our plan.

We thought that last season with Lavia and Phillips mate. We don’t know unless they’re given a chance. Palmer had a million of them last season without deserving it. It’s time some others got that chance

Borges had an appearance with the first team and unfortunately was the proverbial rabbit in the headlights. We know he's good at his level but that day he was hopelessly out of his depth. Nerves maybe but could have been his big chance. Take the money
