Phillips was SHIT...absolute dog shit of a player and the sooner we sell him the better.

Just watched the highlights - Palmer looked like he had a few decent moments. Akanji an absolute calamity and at fault for two goals. Get this RB lad in asap

I watched it all. Palmer had good moments but very selfish.
Rico played really well, Kovacic was really good on the ball and likes a tackle. Cancelo did himself no harm. Stones our best player and we've got a Norwegian forward who looks like he might score a few

I thought Palmer did well. He seems to be better on the right, with mahrez gone should we not be keeping him.

Nice to hear about Rico. I only saw their 3rd which looked like Ortega didn’t give him the shout but as a defender you should either make sure the ball is booted to the moon or shield it for your keeper.

He looked really good, always comfortable on the ball and defended well mainly but you're right about their 3rd.

What was Bobb like? Rumours he’s going to be given the role Palmer had last season with our first team. Didn’t realise he was Norwegian. Hopefully a good link up with our Blonde Bombshell.

Bobb did well, looks an exciting prospect. Gomez played well to be fair. The only youngster who was a bit disappointing was McAtee

Bit harsh on McAtee. Didn't help that he had to play alongside Phillips. Be good to see him with Rodders and Kovacic behind

He played with Kovacic.
Sometimes these kids have to grab the opportunity in these friendlies. Rico did last summer and hasn't looked back.

Time after time flatters to deceive, for me. It's not that he has been short of opportunity and although the media seemed to think he was our best first half, in key moments he fluffed a chance and in another gave the ball away for a counter attack.

There's absolutely no doubt he has some 'brilliance', but whether that will translate to top level football or remain at U21/lower level we still wait to see - if he gets that long.

I was quite pleased with the match as it happened, once we got past those 2 goals! Normally in pre-season watching I think 'wft am I doing?' but this time, with all our players back and most of them looking sharp, I think it was OK.

Rusty exceptions would be Akanji and Foden, to name 2.

Cancelo had a contract with us until 2027 so I expect the smell to linger for a while.

could replace Mahrez on the right wing in Pep's new system.

He is more of an attacking winger than a fullback, or even any type of defender.

Kevin back in full training. Much sooner than expected. Can’t imagine he’ll figure against Bayern but really good news. Maybe he can play in the Charity Shield.

It's not harsh really. He didn't do much, simply a factual statement. Better luck next match!

Always interesting to watch how they do. Tends to be that the 'flair' types usually try too hard to get noticed. Play your normal game and listen to the experienced guys around you. I've got high hopes for this kid but to get a place in our front 6 you have to be pretty damm good - we will see
