Names bobbing about on the fan forums seem very speculative - Mitoma, Olise, Doku, Barella, Sane etc - similarly if Phillips goes - Lavia, Caicedo, Kimmich - increasingly improbable in both cases. Don't think Bobb & McAtee provide the answer to any of our main problems, Pep says we will buy only 'for the first team not for the squad' apparently.

Do they want Dias and Haaland as well? £5m each. Seems reasonable

Did anyone think Phillips would come on for any time yesterday? It’d be far better to loan him out to say West Ham. He’d get regular game time and if he proved himself he could come into the reckoning. The present situation isn’t in anyone’s interests.

I’d swap him for Bowen.

He doesn’t want to leave altogether but he might be persuaded that a one year loan is in his interests.

After watching him laugh and joke with White at the final whistle I’d tell him it’s EDS or nothing and force the move. The guys a prick

I’d genuinely take £15m and learn from the mistake. He had half an alright season in the Prem for Leeds. That was it. And we paid £43m for him

He won’t leave altogether so a loan may be the way out.

Good footballer, but he's Danny Dyers so in law and I gather part of a media circus

Liverpool have had a third bid rejected for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

The latest offer for the 19-year-old Belgian is believed to have been about £46m including add-ons, with Southampton reportedly wanting £50m.

Please hold for one more season!!
