The scum agree £30 million with West Ham for Maguire. That still leaves tricky negotiations on personal terms.

I think id have preferred McAllistair for 35 if this was a position we were going to fill. Feel we need pace out wide more than we need to fill centrally.

Unless perhaps we can throw Phillips into the deal too that would make it worthwhile.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,

They sold Rice for 105 million, why would they sell a better player for less.
Can't see it.

Put the boot on the other foot so to speak

Imagine KDB at West Ham. Doubt he would be anywhere near the player he is currently. Paqueta could be a similar scenario for us. For us to allegedly bid £70m, Pep and Txiki must see something in the lad that can transcend to a higher level

Must say my initial reaction was WTF but I haven’t really seen much of West Ham so my knowledge of him is admittedly very sketchy

It’s more the “being caught in possession” and “making silly flicks and misplaced passes” - that’s not Pep.

Like others before him, he will soon get the message

Paqueta himself may play a key role here. His head is clearly turned and it seems he’s really prepared to push for the deal.

True, but we aren't allowing him onto the pitch so I'm excluding him

No it isn't

But maybe misplaced passes and being caught in possession are results of team mates being inferior and not on his wavelength?

Sometimes players are too good for the team that's around them. Robinho?

Put KDB in West Hams side and would he be the player he is for us? Maybe Paqueta would be elevated to another level playing in our side?

Pep and Txiki obviously see something in the lad

maybe paqueta solves the philllips issue?
a swap + cash gets rid of a player who won’t get minutes for us and replaces him with a lad who could do a job creatively for us..?

True. If his teammates don’t show for him, then he will be caught in possession

and if, as is rumoured, bernie and kyle sign new deals added to the additions of gvardiol, kovacic and paqueta would be a pretty decent window imo...

Biggest waste of talent around. Looked class at Everton in his early days. A bit of a Rodwell
