Can't see where anyone has said what a great manager he is and how they'd want him after Pep. I still can't think of anyone who'd fit that gig.
He's knowingly taken the piss out of Arteta, that's what's good.

Mase wrote:The plan for a new independent regulator in English football has been outlined in the King's Speech.

In February, the government announced plans to appoint a regulator, following a fan-led review last year.

King Charles said the Football Governance Bill, which will introduce a regulator, will "safeguard the future of football clubs for the benefit of communities and fans".

A strengthened owners' and directors' test is part of the plan.

The regulator also aims to prevent historic clubs going out of business, and give fans greater input.

The planned legislation follows last year's fan-led review, chaired by former Sports Minister Tracey Crouch, which said a regulator was necessary for the long-term financial stability of the men's professional game.

In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, Crouch said she was "delighted" it was mentioned in the speech and "an important step" for English football.

Niall Couper, chief executive of football governance campaign group Fair Game, added: "Today's announcement is a historic moment for football and represents a real chance to end the cycle of overspending and mismanagement that has plagued our National Game and threatened the very existence of our clubs.

"We believe the regulator has a huge responsibility and must have the powers to impose the new rules, create a fairer financial flow, and, crucially, help clubs introduce the changes required."

The King's Speech was Rishi Sunak's first as prime minister - and could be his last before the next general election, which is expected next year and must happen before January 2025.

It still feels odd that he's the king. I scrolled from the bottom up, and saw 'King Charles', and didn't think it was UK related at first...

It's very odd. Almost everyone alive has only known the Queen.

Normally I don't believe in outside regulators and stuff. But they can't be any worse than the shower that run football

Brilliant coming from the boyhood Everton fan who chucked them to go and earn money playing for their closest rivals. This is a "man" that highlights all that is wrong with society, not by what he says but by his actions. Scum of the lowest order.

Of all the people on pundit duty, he's the one that regularly exhibits the mentality of a 10 year old. Surviving the spitting incident suggests to me he is a member of some funny handshake sect.

Agreed with virtually all of what he said. Comes across as a very decent bloke, which is rare in the field of managers

Arseteta should watch and learn !

Postegoglu recieved a yellow card....hes a fuckign hypocrite when he says managers should respect the decisions the officials make and then acts the complete opposite.

Whatever about what he said, its what he did that is more interesting. Very naive playing such a ridiculous high line like that down to 9 men.
With those principles the home game against them is going to be tasty.

I bet there’s some folk on here who would have him after Pep , the way they dribble over him !

Nah, he hated us well before then, and got even worse once we started to take the piss with his team on the pitch.

Him and Neville are best muckers, the epitome of ‘the enemy of my enemy …’. Fucking Wankers.

I don't know how this works, but I reckon some fan clubs have access to our staff, right?
It would be possible to gather somewhere all the shite he is talking about us and send it to the club?

I really think it's time to ban this absolute cunt. He makes Wio look decent.

BBC at it again…

The story of Girona's success starts 1,000 miles to the north, in Manchester.

In 2017, Girona were one of the first clubs to become part of the global Manchester City Football Group (CFG) network.

Since when has it been the Manchester City Football Group?! It’s literally CFG. They’ve added the Manchester, surely?

The absurd thing about this, yet again good investment being seen as detrimental to the game, whilst watching the 2 powerhouses who've spunked it up thinking they are Invincible!!

I haven't followed Girona but i am guessing they haven't "bought it" like we apparently did?

I read that a day or two ago, and actually thought it was quite complementary. They have admittedly got the CFG title bit wrong, but the article is saying how well the GFG involvement along with local expertise has worked. It doesn't suggest it's in anyway detrimental to the game as far as I can see.

Won away again today. Top of the Spanish league by 5 points having won 11 out of 13 games with one draw so far and top scorers as well. Undoubtedly they will be reeled in but getting a CL spot is well within reach.

Pretty sure City and Girona can't both be iin the CL. Unless percentage ownership changes
